Chess club is during lunch every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday in core 8 and is ran by Mr Johnson. Overall chess club is a great success and counts as an extra circular activity which will help your strategy skills to improve and could support you on some future careers so as well as having a load of fun you also learn at the same time without even realising.

Chess club is also a great place to meet up with your friends and you are also also permitted to each your lunch in the class as long as you don't make a mess and if you do it would be your responsibility to clean up the area you were sat in.

One thing you will have to speak to Mr Johnson about is getting him to write you a pass in the back of your planner so you won't get stopped by any teachers but when you leave lesson to go to chess club you must first go outside then re-enter the building, show the teacher at the door your pass and you will be allowed to go to the core zone.
