Dundee's Whole System Approach makes use of the above methodology from Public Health England and training from leading experts at Leeds Beckett University.

Addressing obesity at a population level,  through a whole systems approach recognises the complexity of the issue and reinforces that:

We are grateful to the many organisations who are supporting our approach including: Obesity Action Scotland, Public Health Scotland and leading experts from Leeds Beckett University who have offered an insightful methodology (Public Health England toolkit) and a helpful package of training.

In Angus we have plans to implement  the ambitions of our Child Healthy Weight Strategy through a Whole System Approach, alongside the existing Best Start, Bright Futures Group which has a focus on addressing child poverty, a key determinant of childhood obesity.
