Taking up residence in Hollywood Studios Preview Theatre for the entirety of the 50th celebration will be Walt Disney World: 50 Years in the Making. This 13-minute documentary style film takes guests on the 50+ year journey of Walt Disney World from the first shovel at the Magic Kingdom up to the grand opening of Inventus in 2021. The film is narrated in large part by Walt Disney himself, thanks to the hours of footage he recorded in the planning of the resort. With advances in technology, renderings of the property show the transformation over the 50 years with every update during that time.
