Disney Springs is the Celebration Hub for the "Most Magical Celebration"! The Celebration Hub experience is located on the western part of Disney Springs near the new Skyliner Station.
Celebrate! There will be live music every afternoon and evening at a new bandstand. "Most Magical Celebration" merchandise will be available for purchase at Celebration Hub. Many Disney Springs shops, restaurants, and clubs will be open for extended hours throughout the duration of the "Most Magical Celebration."
Explore! Part of the Celebration Hub experience at Disney Springs is WDW 50 Interactive. With updates across 5 theme parks, multiple resorts, and major updates to infrastructure, the size and scope of the 50th anniversary celebration was just too grand to put in a pamphlet or park map. Similar to the Epcot Preview Center previously opened at Epcot, WDW 50 Interactive provides a more personal approach for guests to explore the Walt Disney World Property and all the exciting things to come.
Designed by WDI, the exhibit comes in the form of multiple stations placed throughout the Celebration Hub. The display provides 180 degree viewing as the curved set up allows for enough immersion to feel a part of the visuals displayed. Each station comes with two VR headsets to allow guests in the same party to experience the exhibit together.
The experience starts off with a large-scale map of the entirety of Walt Disney World on screen from Magic Kingdom to Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom to Disney Springs with all points in between. Highlighted areas on screen indicate where all opened and planned updates for the 50th anniversary are taking place. Guests will be able to interact with the map selecting where they would like to go and after a small information box appears giving details on the new attraction, have the option of proceeding further.
This additional detail is where the VR experience truly kicks in as guests could find themselves briefly in front of Cinderella’s Castle for the all-new Magic of Memories, taking in the sights of Istanbul over at Epcot, gazing at tables of new treats from across the resort, or walking among the backlots at Disney’s new Backlot Movies Resort. To get the entire experience, guests will of course need to explore the property, but the exhibit provides a fun interactive option to enjoy each of them alone or with family.
