As part of Walt Disney World's Most Magical Celebration, a Disney's Hollywood Studios classic is receiving a terrifying update. Godzilla: Terror in Transit will receive a fresh coat of paint and a brand new storyline to coincide with the franchise's latest release "Godzilla vs. Kong." Guests will be whisked away from the tranquility of Toho Town and into the middle of the eternal battle between the great titans Godzilla and Kong. But be careful, Godzilla and Kong aren't the only monsters wreaking havoc in Tokyo - Mechagodzilla is back with a vengeance.
Attraction Changes
.The queue has been updated to reflect the new storyline. Queue TVs now include mention of Kong in relation to Godzilla's current rampage.
.Preshow remains roughly the same, again including mention of Kong. The preshow also includes references to a second, updated Mechagodzilla which matches the design used in the film.
.The first scene sees Mechagodzilla replaced by Kong, though the actual fight remains roughly the same.
.Guests are reintroduced to a new and improved Mechagodzilla in the station scene. After again going haywire, new effects imply Mechagodzilla devastatingly attacking both Godzilla and Kong, causing Kong to partially crash through the ceiling of the station.
.The final scene sees Godzilla and Kong teaming up to fight Mechagodzilla through the streets of Tokyo. The battle ends with Godzilla ripping Mechagodzilla's head off while Kong throws its body into Tokyo Bay.
