Zomba Plateau is a great slap of a mountain standing at 1,800m with (once) cedar and pine forests, tumbling waters and still lakes. Its views were described in colonial times as 'the best views in the British Empire'.

Now it's home to Tom and Petal and their Zomba Forest Lodge guest house. They set up TREEZ to address the damage that is being caused to Malawi through the loss of its trees.  They work hand-in-hand with the community to plant trees, protect ecosystems and raise awareness through sport, music and learning.

Every year, we raise money to support their extraordinary programme and look forward to our visit when we witness first-hand the impact they are making on the Zomba plateau.
