Troubleshooting and Tech Support

Next Steps (Advanced Tips)

Instructional Design

Classkick is a great option for teachers who would like to be able to monitor and provide in-the-moment feedback to students while they work on assignments that have been uploaded to the platform. Teachers can see at a glance which students may be stuck on a problem, may need support in completing an assignment or who is finished and ready to move on.

Classkick can also be used to support peer to peer feedback and support even when some students may be connecting remotely or may be sitting across the room. This helps teachers hone in on students most in need of support while smaller questions can be addressed by students who quickly grasp the content,

By also allowing collaborative assignments, Classkick supports small group or partner work without students needing to sit together or meet in person at the same time.

Classkick also allows educators to embed links to other content: EdPuzzle, Kahoot, YouTube videos, etc. can all be included within a Classkick assignment, keeping learning in one digital location.

Individual, Partners or Small Group

For students who work with one another, they do need to login to the same assignment with the exact same name, which could be challenging for younger learners.

Formative and Summative Assessment Options:

Classkick works well as simultaneous formative assessment tool as teachers can provide feedback while the students are working on the Classkick lesson. It can also be used to host tests and quizzes. Teachers can embed answer boxes in assignments that are automatically graded by the platform, which allows teachers to immediately monitor how well students are doing on multiple choice or single answer questions.

Other Uses, Examples, Applications:

Teachers can embed media, ie a video, and then have students reflect and respond using Classkick. Additional links can also be included for further support and to address multiple learning styles.

Teachers can also share assignments with other teachers.

Management

Student Management:

Teachers can view the work of all students simultaneously when they are actively monitoring the class in the application. They can see who may be off task, check in with students by posting comments directly on assignments or modeling how to do something, ie write the next step of a math problem on the student paper.

Student Engagement:

Classkick is a digital program that hosts traditional worksheet style templates. Teachers can add more interactive features, ie drawing on maps, highlighting passages, etc.

Student Privacy and Security:

Students can raise their hands and chat with teachers within Classkick, which may encourage some students to approach the teacher when they are confused or need further support.
