3D World-building Assignment

In this assignment, the student picks a story from Italo Calvino's Invisible Cities and creates a 3D world based on it.

Here the students need not do a one-to-one interpretation of their chosen story. They can just use it as an inspiration and connect it to other issues of interest. The students may keep the aesthetics simple and stylized. They are expected to use 3D modeling tools and techniques including textures, displacement maps, and multiple different geometries.

The goal is to successfully conceptualize, visualize, and "spatialize" imagined environments using 3D modeling tools and concepts.
