Pedro Andrade is a Sociologist and Researcher at Communications and Society Research Centre-CECS, University of Minho. PhD obtained in 2002, at New University of Lisbon, Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, under supervisor of José Augusto Mourão, and titled Drink, Power and Knowledge: socio-symbolic and cultural consumptions within drinking houses. PhD Grade: Very Good with Distinction Cum Laude by unanimity (Muito Bom com Distinção e Louvor por unanimidade). He taught at the University of Coimbra and University of Lisbon, on Sociology of Culture, Communication, Sociological Methods, Digital Humanities. Research about urban cultures, art communication, art/science museums, literacies, digital social networks (Web 2.0/Web 3.0), methodologies/hybrimedia. Coordinator of international projects, e.g., Scientific-Technological Literacy and Public Opinion (2005, on science museums), and Public Communication of Arts (2011, about art museums and its relationships with audiences, tourism, digital/virtual sociological methodology, hybrimedia interaction, sociological/cultural games, social networks, virtual/augmented reality), both projects funded by the FCT. Participation within international university webs, e.g., Virginia Commonwealth Univ. (USA); member of the project Manifesto Art and Social Inclusion in Urban Communities, involving King’s College, Chelsea School of Arts, Universities of Loughborough, Plymouth (UK), Utrech, Gronigen (Netherlands), Leuven (Belgium). Author of several books and scientific papers published in international and national journals with peer review, and indexed in global bibliographic databases (Web of Science; Google Scholar; World Cat; Library of Congress; LatinIndex; Bulletin Signalétique du CNRS, Paris; LORETO: Base de données en Culture du Temps Libre,Bruxelles; PORBASE; Repositório UM-Univ. 9. 1976: Body Cinema/Cinéma-Corps. Images and sound made with the humidity and temperature of human body, via a portable electronic device. Art work produced at Atelier Cinéma Independent-Paris, an experimental lab founded by Pedro Andrade, Marcus Reinfried and Giovani Martedi. 9. 2020.3.7. First p-app / po-book, named Poem on the Corona virus using Pessoa Effect: an app and e-book anti-virus, published by Social Web Lab Publishers, Lisbon. This is an alternative mode of production and of dissemination / presenting poetry. As for its form, it consists of an interactive app hybridized with an e-book, where it is possible to read, comment, dialog and even re-write the contents of an author’s poetry.

App ‘Hybrid Discourse Analysis-HDA’. The author is developing, in cooperatioin with Universidade Estadual de São Paulo, Brasil, with the programmer Prof. Cícero Silva, in cnnection with Prof. Lev Manovich from the University of New York, an app for users to apply Hybrid Discourse Analysis-HDA, a method to interpret a variety of texts (industrial, management, academic, commercial, legal, administrative, interviews, biographies, newspapers, etc.). This app uses the Alphabet of Universal Relationships, a logical alphabet gathering 37 content relationshiops used to articulate keywords or concepts. This app, the HAD method and the Alphabet semantic tool is going to be registered in Brazil and USA.
