Most actions in combat will take time. The following table is a reference guide with examples of time requirements taken from the rules. Also noted is the action type (listed as major, minor, or delay). A delay is normally assessed before the desired action is begun. Some actions noted in the table are a combination of actions (e.g. retrieve a potion, consume it, then wait for it to take effect). In most cases, only the use of a prepared item is actually the major action (i.e. consuming the potion) although the entire sequence must be declared.
* Represents completion segment. Thus, a 10 segment action begun in segment 1 will complete at the end of segment 10.
** These actions are special minor actions that must be declared and can be used only once per round in addition to physical attacks.
