Expectations:
Fellows should arrive to endoscopy suite by 7:15 AM
Fill out consent form ENTIRELY
Maintain professionalism with all endoscopy suite members; if there are any issues, please notify GI chiefs
Keep a log of all of your procedures into the Procedure Log Excel Sheet (best to do daily).
One fellow must be present in endoscopy until the last patient is discharged (on days when not at evening conferences). This should be evenly split up among the fellows rotating in endoscopy, and this is up to the fellows to coordinate on their own.
Communicate results from inpatient scopes to the appropriate inpatient service fellows (GI/Hep/DHS) so that this information can be conveyed to the primary teams. This should be done immediately when the procedure is completed.
Fellows are expected to be in Friday clinic and conferences on time. Please let your attending know in advance.
Schedule:
Each fellow will have a schedule assigned to an attending for each week. See the schedule here: CLICK ME
This rotation can serve as back-up/pull service.
