Vacation

• When a fellow is on vacation he/she is expected to forward their EPIC inbox to the fellow next in the numerical order (ex. Provider 1 is on vacation -> Provider 2 covers EPIC inbox).

Short Call

• The short call schedule can also be found in the master schedule on OneDrive. 

• The short call fellow is expected to log into the pagers/list and to see all GI consults, Hepatology consults, and Nutrition consults starting from 11am until 5 pm. Please also log into the pagers/list for DHS.

• The short call fellow is expected to be available to the DHS service should any questions arise.

• The short call fellow is expected to follow-up any pending procedures and write brief notes.

• Routine follow-up questions about already established patients is the responsibility of the fellow that was already assigned to the service and not the short call fellow.
