Awards & Emphasis Months

The Ambassador Award is the highest recognition the USWT may bestow on a local member. A nominee must have membership in Women of Today for a minimum of five (5) years, and must be nominated by both the local and state presidents.

As we strive to make a difference in our communities, there are many individuals who offer continued support of our organization. Each year the USWT President recognizes those individuals who help us to achieve our goals and make an impact on our members and chapters. These individuals could be a spouse, relative, or local business that has been especially helpful to our local and/or state organizations. The recognition can be for any type of project, and is for non-members only. The recipient must be nominated by a local or state organization.

This award is granted to only 75 members throughout each year. Recipients have shown extraordinary commitment and dedication to the Women of Today, have proven an outstanding member, and represents the pride of the USWT President in that member. The recipient must be nominated by their peers.

This award recognizes our Women of Today chapters that have planned and accomplished a well-rounded program of projects and activities that exemplifies the USWT Creed. These activities will help the chapter provide opportunities of leadership, training, community service, personal enrichment, and fellowship for its members. Chapter and State presidents must submit their own organization to be honored by this award.

This award recognizes those outstanding local and state leaders who have gone above and beyond in their duties as an officer of the organization. The recipient has made significant accomplishments in their local or state leadership role, and is nominated by their peers.

This award is granted to members who have a well-rounded experience in the USWT Programming Areas. Recipients have completed all the programming certifications, participated in a Domestic Violence Awareness (DVA) service project, participated in another service project, and completed a competition on the state or national level. Individual members must nominate themselves for this award.
