Google (Classroom) Training

I have created a 'tick list' of things that I would consider to be useful in understanding in order to make effective use of the Google Tools in the classroom with pupils.

By printing off the 'Training Log' and following watching the following videos, it will hopefully equip you with all you need to make use of the Google for Education Tools.

Before making use of Google for Education with pupils it's important that teachers understand the capacity Google has for transforming the way we teach. Understanding the SMAR model will help you to rethink how we educate pupils.

Google Classrooms is simply the 'portal' for learners to access activities set for them. This can be in the form of making use of the Google Apps, which all allow pupils to complete/create work individually or collaboratively.

Google Classrooms also allows other web-based learning platforms to be used; Flipgrid is a great example of one of these tools.

As educators we need to change how we teach to allow pupils to reflect and revisit their work to make improvements. Collaboration and creativity are the opportunities pupils currently need as we live through the Digital Revolution.
