The Just2Easy applications allow for a range of digital skills to be used within the classroom, the J2Code app has varying degrees of difficulty
(Personally) I would look to make use of introducing the coding skills to year 1 using the Apps above and JIT

Start of Block Coding, give basic actions to a 'sprite'. Increase difficulty with application to real-life problems. Create annimations using additional sprites
Gain an understanding of Script coding. Through three progressive stages. Great for the introduction using loops to make shapes
Using Block coding, produce code on a virtual Microbit, code messages that could scroll accross the device
