HOUSE FOR BADDAGANA URBAN WETLAND
A zoologist client and his botanist wife, along with their three children, are planning to build a residence adjacent to the Baddagana Urban Wetland. Covering 250-300 square meters, the site offers natural beauty, though careful construction is needed due to its proximity to the wetland. The proposed house, outlined in a user manual, caters to various needs including research, living, cooking, sleeping, and learning spaces.
The architectural design emphasizes integration with nature, utilizing elevated structures, cantilevered elements, and orientation towards the forest. Lightweight concrete is the primary material, while terrace roofs enable plant cultivation, and landscaping enhances the natural feel. Overall, the design prioritizes functionality, incorporates the biophilia principle, and minimizes environmental impact, reflecting the occupants' professions and promoting their well-being amidst a serene natural environment.
