Julio Peres is an M.S. student working with Dr. Nathan Boyd in the Weed Science Lab at the GCREC. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the Federal University of Viçosa in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Julio first joined GCREC as an intern with Dr. Johan Desaeger and later returned for his master’s research. His work integrates conventional and next‑generation approaches to reduce weed pressure in vegetable crops. After graduating, he plans to pursue a Ph.D. in the field, aiming for a career in academia.
