PFIEV - excellent engineer training PROGRAM
Introduction
The Vietnam-France Excellent Engineer Training Program (PFIEV) is a collaboration program between the French and Vietnamese governments, with the first-class enrolling in 1999 and four leading technical universities in Vietnam participating (Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, The University of Danang - University of Science and Technology, The Vietnam National University - University of Science and Technology - Ho Chi Minh City) and cooperates with 9 famous French engineering universities.
History of Development
Program Objectives
The goal of the PFIEV training program is to train engineers of international quality, mastering theory, being good in practice, and having good management and professional capacity; being trained with solid basic knowledge and interdisciplinary knowledge; having a vision and an integrated approach and problem-solving approach, adapting to the interdisciplinary operating environment and rapid changes in technology; and being able to speak two foreign languages: English and French.
The PFIEV training program educates engineers in accordance with the French model and standards, and it consists of two phases: Phase 1: the first two years of the general phase for all majors; Stage 2: the final three years of the Engineer phase for each major.
From 2004 until the present, the PFIEV Engineers Training Program has been accredited by the Commission des Titres d'Ingénieurs (CTI) and the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE) (for each cycle). Re-inspection every 5 years). The PFIEV training program's Engineering Degree is recognized by the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE) with the European quality brand EUR-ACE Master, and the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training confirmed that the PFIEV degree is equivalent to the Master's level in admission to further study to a higher level in the right field of training.
Majors of PFIEV Program at DUT
Collaboration with Polytech Marseille University (Marseille, France). Intensive training in Software Engineering, Network and Communication, Electronics, and Project Management; capable of designing and building management software systems and industrial software; capable of designing and administering computer and communication networks; capable of designing and developing embedded software systems.
Collaboration with INP Grenoble University (Grenoble City, French Republic). Intensive training in automated control, computer technology, and industrial electronics; competent of creating and maintaining factory communication networks and electronic systems; control, monitor, and design automated production lines.
Collaboration with INP Grenoble University (Grenoble City, French Republic). Intensive training in the field of production automation (mechanical, mechatronics, automation, automatic control, production management, and organization); the ability to design parts, control, monitor, and maintain automatic production lines; mechanical product design, control, and maintenance of automatic mechanical processing equipment, precision mechanical machines; production management of automatic production lines.
The program currently has about 350 students enrolled, including not only students from Da Nang City and Quang Nam province, but also from all over the Central-Central Highlands provinces and some northern provinces.
So far, the Training Program of Excellent Engineers in Vietnam (PFIEV) has educated 17 graduate courses with almost 650 Engineers, with nearly 100 students and graduates receiving scholarships to study abroad – the majority of them in Vietnam. In France, the employment rate after three months after graduation has always exceeded 95 percent in the previous five years, with 40 percent working for local firms, 30 percent working for international enterprises, and 10 percent studying abroad. Master's and doctoral degrees can be obtained in countries other than the United States.
