Advanced Program


Introduction

The Advanced Programs were established based on the Project “Development of advanced programs at universities in the period of 2006-2015” of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) which aims To create conditions for the formation and development of several training disciplines, faculties and universities up to regional and international standards; To contribute to raising the quality and implementing programs on the fundamental and comprehensive renovation of Vietnam's tertiary education”.

Accordingly, the advanced programs are mostly built on the basis of training programs of famous universities in the world, including contents, methods, processes of training organization and management, and are taught in English.

Program Objectives

The mission of the Advanced Program - Da Nang University is to train excellent students according to international standards for the domestic and foreign labor market, pioneer in the quality of training in Electronics and Telecommunications at university level, equip Engineers graduating from this program with complete career potential, further study and lifelong learning. The curriculum is scientifically designed and consulted by the partner universities to provide the best for students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

History of Development

In 2006, the Advanced Program in Digital Systems (the current name is Electronic and Communication Engineering) was selected to be one of 10 advanced programs nationally established, in collaboration with the university partner - the University of Washington, USA. UW's Electronics and Telecommunications industry is ranked in the top 18 of the Electronics and Telecommunication industries worldwide.


In 2008, continuing the success of the initial national advanced programs, the Advanced Program in Embedded Systems (the current name is Embedded Systems and IoT) was then established, in collaboration with the university partner - the Portland State University, USA. PSU's Embedded Systems major is ranked as one of America's 10 preeminent training programs.


In 2016, these 02 advanced programs of DUT have been internationally accredited by ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) to be one of the top programs in the ASEAN at that moment.


Up to now, they have been leading the emerging fields of industrial 4.0, including embedded systems, digital signal and image processing, communication, IoT, artificial intelligence, IC design, etc., and providing students with essential 21st-century soft skills and social responsibility to be the ready workforce of the society in the era of industrial revolution 4.0 - digital transformation.
