Advanced Program

in Electronic and Communication Engineering

Introduction

Advanced Undergraduate Program in Electronic and Communication Engineering (AP-ECE) was established in 2006 based on the Project “Development of advanced programs at universities in the period of 2006-2015” of Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) that aims to “create conditions for the formation and development of several training disciplines, faculties and universities up to regional and international standards; to contribute to raising the quality and implementing programs on the fundamental and comprehensive renovation of Vietnam's tertiary education”.

AP-ECE curriculum was mostly based on the curriculum from the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Washington, Seattle, USA, and has been carefully designed in structure and content. It has been well-equipped to provide our students with modern laboratories, libraries, and classrooms.

The mission of AP-ECE of The University of Danang (UD) is to be excellent at undergraduate education and shall be among the best in the quality of our undergraduate program, to prepare our graduates for successful careers in engineering, postgraduate education, and lifelong learning.

Program Structure

From year 3 (semester 6), the curriculum has provided 2 optional major tracks:

  • Electronic Engineering

  • Communication Engineering.

Students who select a track will study the track's specific modules as well as the general modules of the two tracks. The conditions for selection and track division are based on AP regulations on track division established by the University. The total number of credits for the two tracks and knowledge modules is the same.
