The theme of the 7th Annual Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Conference in Vietnam (STEMCON), hosted by the teaching staff FAST, is "Future Digital Human Resources: Suggestions and Opportunities in STEM." Faculty members and students actively collaborate in organizing and participating in reports and presentations. Arizona State University organized the event in March 2019 in Danang City in collaboration with the University of Science and Technology, University of Danang (UD-DUT), and American University in Vietnam, with the goal of connecting students and businesses in innovation to meet the needs of human resources in the digital economy era. The seminar was led by FAST Faculty leaders and lecturers who shared lessons and difficulties concerning technical training based on output criteria. To engage in the digital economy, it is critical to identify requirements together and develop acceptable yet novel methods of education and training. This is a critical time for events like STEMCON Vietnam to bring together individuals and companies to debate problems, opportunities, and strategies for transforming Vietnam into a leader in the field of innovation. develop human resources
FAST Faculty not only enhances training quality to supply digital human resources, but also actively engages in applied research to modify arguments in Smart University's development plan toward smart city development. The FAST Faculty-organized multidisciplinary research group includes professors, researchers, businesses, students from the University of Science and Technology, Danang International Institute of Technology DNIIT, TAPIT Company, and university and business partners. Domestic and international industries have participated in reporting sessions, presentations, exhibitions, and proposed solutions for the construction and development of smart cities appropriate to Da Nang and other cities, such as smart management, smart traffic, smart environment, smart life, and smart citizens. Da Nang University of Science and Technology began building a science and technology program focusing on defining smart university architecture, designing and building smart infrastructure, applications and services, including university management tools, and taking care of relevant parties based on artificial intelligence (AI), internet of things (IoT), BigData, and Cloud Computing in 2018.
