In the joyful atmosphere of the whole country to celebrate Vietnam Teachers' Day, on the evening of November 18, 2020, the youth Union of Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology (FAST) of the University of Science and Technology - the University of Danang organized a program on celebrating Vietnam Teachers' Day and welcoming First-year students for the course 2020 with many exciting and colorful activities as a special greeting for new members. This is an annual activity at "FAST Home", creating closeness and connection between the Board of Leaders, Lecturer and staff of faculty, alumni and First-year students. Through this meeting, First-year students will learn a "close-up" picture of FAST. Let's take a look at FAST 's New Student Welcome activities in 2020!
The program was honored to have the participation of Prof. DR. Pham Van Tuan- Head of Testing & Quality Assurance Department, Lecturer. MSc. Phan Thi Thuy Hang- Deputy Head of Department of Student Affairs, faculty members, alumni, and the presence of more than 300 students from FAST and faculties with affiliated colleges: Faculty of French - University of Foreign Languages, Faculty of English - University of Foreign Languages, Faculty of Mathematics - University of Pedagogy.
Attending the program, the First-year students of course 2020 also had the opportunity to meet, exchange and answer questions from the faculty leaders, alumni. Hopefully with these sincere sharing, the First-year students will quickly "gather" for useful baggage in student life.
With the spirit of appreciating the talents of learning, scientific research and community activities of the First-year students as well as the students studying at FAST, in 2020, FAST organized a commendation ceremony. and implement the scholarship policy with the largest scale ever, specifically: 03 awards for the valedictorian in the fields of study; 06 awards for students with excellent academic achievements in each discipline; 02 awards for groups of students with outstanding scientific research achievements; 04 scholarships of PFIEV Alumni for students of the Vietnam-France High-Quality Engineer Program (PFIEV) of FAST faculty with good academic achievements and difficult circumstances due to the impact of the covid-19 pandemic and natural disasters; 03 scholarships of FOSSI company for FAST students with outstanding academic achievements, scientific research and community activities; 04 awards for students with excellent achievements in the Youth Union work and youth movement of FAST faculty in the academic year 2020-2021.
