The University of Danang - University of Science and Technology
Kieu Thi Phuong, a former student of Da Nang's Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, has chosen to attend the Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology. Phuong is now a fourth-year student in the PFIEV Vietnamese-French High Quality Training Program, class 18PFIEV3.
"Teacher, I heard my Faculty has a big speaker, correct?" - Sure, what’s wrong? - Yes, I need a speaker in order to plan an event. After a time of conversing, I discovered that Phuong "one-sidedly" created a program called Hult Prize for DUT students. That is just too much for a female pupil to bear. But if I appreciate one aspect, I am proud of another, since Phuong is a PFIEVer, a true FASTer. I met her on the course of the Manulife Da Nang International Marathon in 2018; I do not run but merely volunteer. And this year, I encountered her again at that event, still with her lovely face full of energy and the same bright color, while the two professors and kids conversed."Three years ago, Master, I volunteered for this Marathon event." Phuong said.
Kieu Phuong's efforts will undoubtedly inspire many individuals. Phuong was named Outstanding Student in 2018-2019 and 2019-202. During the 2018-2019 academic year, Phuong was named Student of 5 Merits at the City level. As stated at the beginning of the article, this lady student is the leader of the Organizing Committee of the startup competition "Hult Prize" for DUT students in the academic year 2020-2021.
Nonetheless, Phuong took second place in the University of Danang's "Startup for Students" competition for the 2020-2021 academic year. The Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology always immediately rewards and honors such gratifying accomplishments. In 2020-2021, Phuong was awarded the "Fossil" scholarship, which is given to FAST students who have excelled in academics, scientific research, and community service. Phuong is also a part of the CAPS-Tech 3rd Contest 2020 organizing committee.
Many individuals believe that the PFIEV curriculum is rather substantial and that it takes a long time to assimilate the information. But, for Phuong, that may not be a problem because, in addition to her outstanding academic achievements, Phuong also volunteers. In 2018, 2019, 2022, Phuong participated as a volunteer for the Manulife Danang International Marathon event. In June 2021, Phuong worked as a volunteer for UNICEF's "Youth-On! Hackathon".
With remarkable academic achievement and still participating in social activities on all fronts, Phuong deserves to be a role model of FAST students: Study hard - Play hard.
