Tuscaloosa Stake Primary Newsletter

June 2021

Hello Sisters!!

I hope this newsletter finds you all filled with hope and warmth as we enter into the Summer months! I feel like it has been so long since we saw your beautiful faces in March. We have had a lot of changes and a lot in the works for the remainder of 2021. Below you will find some announcements for you to consider.

I would, first, like to express an immeasurable amount of gratitude to Sister Pimentel and Sister Rudder for serving our stake primary, so wonderfully, for the last two years. They are two of the most lovely women that I have had the pleasure of working with and loving. If you see them around, please give them a big hug and thank them for their self-less and diligent love and service to all of us and our children.

With that said, I would like to welcome the two new members of the Stake Primary Presidency: Sister Nicolette Mosely from Bessemer Ward and Sister Angela Martin from Tuscaloosa Ward! We look forward to getting to know these sisters! You can see a little about each of them below.

Please remember that we are just a phone call, text or email away. Bring us your questions and concerns, and brag about the wonderful things you have going on in your primary. We love you all and look forward to seeing you soon!

Love, Sister Cureton

BYU-Idaho Devo

Think about a time when you were feeling down, anxious, frustrated or depressed. What do you do when you have these feelings? I would like to invite you to read/watch/listen to this fantastic BYU-I devotional given by Erin Bennion in February. Jot down impressions or thoughts that resonate with you as you do so.

This will also be posted in the Stake Primary Facebook group, so if you feel comfortable sharing in the comments of the post, please do!

Welcome

Nicolette Mosely

Stake Primary 2nd Counselor

Hi I'm Nicolette. I am a mother of 6 kids: 4 girls and 2 boys; grandma of 16 lovable but sometimes hard to manage grandkids but they are still my lil babies. I have been involved in Primary off and on since converting to the Church years ago. Primary has always been an exciting calling for me because it's not so much about what I can teach them, but more about what I have learned from them. They are truly my grand babies, too.

Angela Martin

Stake Primary Secretary

My name is Angie Martin, wife of Bryan and mom to 4. Our 2 daughters Laurel, 21 and Lacey, 20 are in college and University of Alabama. Seth, 18, just graduated and is prepping his mission papers and youngest son, Spencer, 16, will be a junior in high school in the fall. I am a lifelong resident of Alabama and have lived in Tuscaloosa since age 12. I am thankful to parents who sought out the truth before I was born so I have had the blessing to grow up in the Gospel. I love books and reading, family history, nature, eating good food, watching sports and learning new things!

We prefer that no more than one program be held on one Sunday so that our whole presidency may attend. If you have any questions, please contact us.
