This approach utilises features of the Tū Rangatira Maori Medium Educational Leadership Ministry policy document. Ngā whenu - the seven Key Roles of Leadership in Māori Medium form the basis upon which questions are raised for the leader to examine their current leadership practice.
The whenu of the korowai descends from te aho tapu. Each of the whenu depicts a key role of leadership, as outlined below.
