In many biology classes all around the world today, mammals have been sacrificed to promote human experiments and education. As humans living in a disease-filled world, we are not stating that we shouldn't tear animals apart for our human advancement, but when we use animals for students' education, sometimes it leads to very unnecessary use of living creatures.
In this serious game project, we intend to not only cut the cost of buying experimental animals and saving them from unnecessary sacrifices, but we also aim to help students familiarize themselves with mammalian body parts in anatomy and organs functions in a more robust and graphically entertaining way.
Objective Of This Game
The main objective of the educational game is to complete challenging puzzles introduced by scenario cards while learning more about harmful effects on the mammalian body system. For example, Alcohol is a toxin that is a very common toxin that humans consume. We beg the question, “what would happen if a rat drank alcohol, and what body systems act to deter the effects of poisoning?”
The game can also work as a tool to support teachers in their teaching programs since the gameplay and stylized art can drag students' attention more easily than standard textbooks. After a brief look at this serious game, students can comprehensively understand the textbook's content much easier.

How To Play
At the beginning of the game, the player's pet rat is initially alive, but unfortunately dying because its organs have lost all of their functionality due to some diseases. Players are tasked to strengthen their pet rats' organs so that the rat would be able to live. Players will have the ability to enhance their rat organs with the different cards they possess.
At the beginning of each round, players roll a die, if it is between 1-2 they will pick up 1 card; if they get dice point between 3-4 they will pick up 2 cards; if the point is 5 or 6, they will pick up 3 organ enhancement cards.
After picking up the organ cards, players will draw a scenario card. On the scenario card, there is an event that players have to deal with. The scenario cards possess relevant information on the organs of the rat and more importantly the health damage that the rat will take if the scenario is not correctly solved during the player phase. Initially, the rat will have 50 health.
After players decide using which organ card they are going to use to cure the diseases, a third extrinsic party (GM) will reveal the answer to which parts need to be strengthened.
If the player chooses the correct organ to strengthen, they will be able to save their pet and not lose life points for their pet; if the player chooses the wrong organ to enhance their pet rat will lose its life point, becoming closer to certain doom.
After doing all the things above, the game can move to the next round! To win the game, players have to solve at least 5 scenario cards (no matter how many diseases have left on the board) and their rats' health points shouldn't be 0.
Special rule: We also offer an organ exchange system if the players have extra organs in their hands but can't cure their rat!
