As an assistant game designer at Intelligent Transform Fishery House Co., Ltd. in Taiwan, I was responsible for writing a game development proposal, building a basic gameplay concept for the project: Genomon, and developing a rough game prototype for it. (Based on the company's policy, I can share limited information about the working result)
About The Project
In this project, Dr. Chen, the professor of the Life Science Department at National Taiwan University, expects to use the advantages of games to express the knowledge of Cell Biology, Virology, and the Mechanism of the Immune System. We are eager to promote cell biology, virology, and molecular biology knowledge, and make it easier for people to learn. We hope that integrating mobile gaming and biology can make knowledge acquisition more engaging, and enhance motivation and efficiency in learning.
In a near-future world, the development of biomedicine is extremely advanced. With the assistance of futuristic technology, users can design all kinds of biomedical products, like medicines and vaccines, through various visual methods. In this game world, players act as white hat hackers and endeavor to find shortcomings in cell immune systems for biomedical enterprises. The company that players work for can research preventive medicines, vaccines, or treatments to address those weaknesses based on the information players provide.
As a Virus Tamer in the game, players engage in several battle simulations by designing and operating genetic monsters (GeneMon), the fusion virtual virus, to attack virtual cell cities.

For this project, I created a quick prototype to display our gameplay mechanism to our co-op studio. As a virus, when you invade a cell, you may meet some resistance from the cell's defensive system. Utilize the auto-generating resource (in biology, it will be nucleic acids) to increase your life points (which is mRNA), and also spawn your soldiers (proteins), and the material (structural protein) for you to build the new virus particle!
Below will be the link for the Game Development Proposal and the Gameplay Design Documents that I made for this project.
