Can be played on JP/EU/NA in that order or preference (JP is best).
Make sure a GBA Bios is selected by Bizhawk and disable “Skip Bios” (GBA>Settings>Sync Settings), Doing a hard reset of the game should show the GAME BOY logo.
Turn on Frame Counter, FPS and Input display (Lua scripts are valid).
Disable any unused hotkeys and unbind turbo buttons. Setup controller (Multiple keys/buttons can be bound to the same input but no key/button is allowed to transmit more than one input).
Make a file with 1 character (more characters makes the text longer).
Set text speed to fast (press R when hovering over the file, then move the top option to the right and press A).
Hard reset and mash through Title Screen (mash with Start or A) and select the file, Timing starts on the input that loads the file.
Blue Rupee Manip (JP/NA only): Throughout Zelda and Smith’s conversation hold B and mash directions to mash through text boxes, RNG won’t be correct unless you mash.
Perform exactly 2 rolls once you take control of link on the way to Smith’s room.
After the rest of the cutscene, open the chest for a 20 rupee and throw a pot for a 5 rupee. Exit the house and Follow Zelda to Town.
Follow Zelda through Festival and continue the intro section through North Field and towards the castle.
In Castle Garden roll directly up and hit the trigger for the minister (Don’t roll in front of the minister as it risks a softlock).
Watch rest of the cutscene, Get Sword, avoid enemies to Minish Woods via LonLon.
Roll through Woods towards DWS up to Ezlo cutscene, Save Ezlo, Shrink.
Ride lilypad as minish, follow the path to Minish Village.
Talk to Festari (entrance to DWS), Get Jabber nut (Barrell on right side), Talk to Gentari (Elder in top left), Head to DWS.
Pots at DWS entrance have hearts, Slug room for small key, don’t roll into ezlo triggers.
Light torches in Barrel room, head to Far left Statue room for key.
Head to mulldozer fight for 3rd small key.
Heart in pots if needed, head to madderpillar, get Gust Jar.
Head back to barrel room and fall down into basement, ride lilypad to the right for the last small key in the small chest
Basement left big chest for boss key.
Ride red warp, (EU only: go up left stairs for 20 rupee chest), head to Boss, defeat and get Heart Container.
Talk to Gentari, go through curtains to Belari, Get Bombs (From this point up to Grip ring you can’t waste more than 2 bombs).
Exit Minish Woods and head to town (Don’t get South Field Wind Crest).
Head up to start the Hurdy Gurdy cutscene, skip fusing by doing a Save&Quit (No quick warps in vanilla, hold A+B+START+SELECT to soft-reset after saving).
Dojo for spin attack, Head to trilby by showing the guard the spin attack.
Bottle from Trilby Scrub (No Roll Lifting, Bombs explode faster if you pick up and throw it ASAP after placing a bomb), enter Crenel.
15 rupee cave (JP/NA required, EU optional if you want health), Hot Spring for Green Water, slash red rupee with sword.
Plant bean, water bean, head to upper crenel scrub for grip ring (If at 2 bombs, farm grass in cave for at least 1 bomb drop).
Backup HP cave at bottom of climbing wall (if you are on <2 hearts), Vanilla Climb to CoF.
Throw a bomb across the gap to extend the bridge, red rupee in the right pot after the bridge (see image).
Melari’s Mines, Talk to Melari in center, Talk to minish by left door, go to CoF.
Hearts in pots at entrance, Use own bombs to blow up the wall, shield and sword to kill spiky beetles.
Ride Minecart, throw the middle pot for bomb drop, slash bob-omb next to the pots so its not in the way later, Gust jar bob-omb into the wall, Gust jar helmasaur fight.
Minish section, fire drops hearts, lava platform riding, rollobites, get first chest for 50 rupees, tornado, get key in 2nd chest.
Walk back to Minecart, open the locked door and hit the switch, Minecart again, Silver Chu Fight for cane.
Hearts in pots after cane fight, hit ezlo trigger before going in hole, switch for Blue Warp, flip minecart and ride for small key, back to blue warp room and continue the rest of the dungeon downstairs.
Minish section to get the minecart, 2nd Rollobites room, skip all chests towards lava room.
slash fire for hearts (RNG), ride lava platforms, cane pot for heart, continue section.
Skip blade chest, Tornado gliding, BK chest, enter gleerok.
Beat Boss and Collect Heart Container.
Go to Melari for Green Sword, climb down Crenel to town, Town Wind Crest, Get Red Sword from Hyrule Castle Sanctuary (Enter Castle through the front door).
Moblin Fight after Castle, Head to Trilby to access Western Woods, PkGasm Cutscene, Read Sign on the way to Castor to start boot Quest, Go to Rem.
In Show shop shrink in pot, go to workbench and talk to closest of the 3 minish (If on Wii U VC, S&Q after talking to them)
Head to East Town exit, bomb blocks and head to LonLon Spare Key,
Give key to Talon, Go through LonLon to ride tornados to Minish Woods
Buy Mushroom for 60 rupees (last rupee use)
Head back to Rem for Boots
Backup Fairy in Western Woods tree (Dash into with Boots)
Castor entrance ezlo trigger, Fight Darknut for 1st Kinstone (bombs in bottom right pot if you are below 5)
Head to Minish Portal and Shrink, Ride lilypad and Bottle Water, Fight Mulldozers for Bow, S&Q with Bow and Boots.
Head to North Cave for 2nd Kinstone, Fire single arrow to wake up eyegore and then roll through it to avoid killing it
Head to South Cave for Last Kinstone, Grave HP if needed, When riding tornado equip sword over Bow.
After last Kinstone, go Fuse and enter Wind Ruins.
Head through Wind Ruins collecting no Chests, Roll through armos after they activate (Don’t need to kill any in Wind Ruins), tektite fight can drop Hearts, cut grass and kill ropes before 2nd shrink to make minish easier, Ignore Armos Fight, Last Fight kill 3 Ropes and 2 Beetles.
Enter Fow, Left side first, Left door has 2 skulls that have hearts, go upstairs
Bow the eye, spin attack stalfos, go up ladder
Moving platform room right skull has arrows while you wait
Skip the Eyegore fight in the north room
Clone room throw skulls at ropes to uncover clone pads, push blocks with clones
Drop key, More hearts if needed before heading to Right side, go up the stairs
Pull Left lever to open door, climb ladder
Kill Armos and make clones, hit switches and shrink, Turn armos on and grow
Hit Armos once to make it move, pull lever to drop key, head to center path
Skulls in center path have hearts if needed, go up stairs
Bow Eyegore and roll through it, open Left door, ride platform, bow eye switches and dash across bridge, darknut fight for blue warp, blade room, pots have bombs and a heart
Blow up wall and enter for Mitts, exit room then hop down to the right for the right door
Kill Blue wallmasters for minish portal (don’t shrink yet), next room get key from statue puzzle, open door, previous room shrink, minish dirt room key, grow
Avoid Wallmasters after growing (Leave 1 alive), BK, get grabbed, skulls outside boss for arrows and hearts

Warp to Lake, shrink and talk to Minish in the house
Warp to Town Library, Talk to Yellari (S&Q with Boots and Bottle)
Dash down to Romeo’s House, Water Fireplace, get red book
Shrink in cafe, cross river, talk to dog, grow and bottle water
Hand in 1st book, talk to receptionist a 2nd time, head to Dr Left
Dr Left water fireplace, shrink in Carpenters, enter Dr left as minish, talk to blue minish in hole in wall before going to fountain
Head to Fountain, Bottom Right pot bottle fairy, fight mulldozers for Bracelets
S&Q after bracelets, shrink in Carpenters, Dr Left Ceiling Book, Grow and get book, Leave town to the East.
Head to Witch Cave, dig through to Lake South, bonk tree, ride lilypad, push book (S&Q after book hits the floor with Cane and Ocarina), grab book, warp to town
Hand in books, go upstairs and shrink, climb books, talk to Librari, fairy and hearts in pots, Scissor Beetle Fight for Flippers
Get Flippers, S&Q (Boots + Ocarina), Warp to Lake, HP in lake puddle if needed, enter ToD
