Portal Jump Storage (PJS) is a glitch that allows link to store the action of jumping off a minish portal and use it to jump elsewhere.
The glitch can be achieved anywhere the following 2 conditions are met:
Link has not gone close enough to the minish portal you wish to do the glitch from since loading the room
Link is in Stage 1 Ocarina Glitch
Get OG stage 1 on the same screen as the portal
Push against the portal to jump onto it, link will not jump to the middle of the portal but instead in a different direction
Press R+Ocarina on the same frame to play the Ocarina and unfreeze time
Link is now in the Portal Jump Stored state and able to be relocated to any other position.
Equip either the Shield or the Sword, and also equip the Gust Jar
Tap: R, The Sword/Shield, and the direction you want link to face, all inputs have to start on the same frame, you can repeat this as many times as necessary. Do not hold a direction for too long or link will "Hop" and exit PJS state.
Tap R and the Gust Jar, link will recoil backwards to the direction he is facing, once the gust jar is mid use you can then repeatedly tap the Gust Jar without pressing R.
Once link has been moved to the spot required, holding a direction will make link jump in that direction over any terrain up to a set distance. If link isn't against a wall or other collision then they will not jump any distance.
For link to jump further, place a bomb on the opposite side to the direction you want link to jump, after it explodes Link will store its knockback. Now Jump and link will get an extra boost at the end of the jump.
For even greater reach, press R and the Cape while in PJS state. Link will make the jump sound but not move, Now when you do the jump link will go even further.
If the cape button is held while link is mid jump out of PJS, Link will instantly begin a regular cape jump from the position they land regardless of if it is solid ground, link will not glide after this cape jump. This is known as Portal Bounce.
Firstly make sure that the minish portal is accessible from where you can perform the Ocarina Glitch (Such as bonking the tree if the minish portal is the stump). Then do a screen transition to reload the room if you triggered the sparkle effect on the minish portal.
Perform the Ocarina Glitch and remain in Stage 1 by not leaving the screen you got the glitch on (Including getting grabbed by zeffa the bird), when you approach the minish portal now there should be no sparkle effect (since time is frozen in Stage 1 Ocarina Glitch).
Pushing against the minish portal will make link jump "onto" the portal, the direction link jumps in will be towards coordinate x=0, y=0 (normally located in the far top left corner of the screen). Link can instead be made to jump towards any other portal located in the same room simply by walking near that portal before doing the Ocarina Glitch.
When link is in the Portal hovering state with Ocarina Glitch still active, if link jumps by holding any direction then link will softlock. However link is still capable of using items by pressing the R button and the item you wish to use simultaneously. The ocarina can be played in this state to cancel the ocarina glitch, yet link remains hovering away from the portal. If link does not jump far enough away from the portal with the initial jump then any attempt to use items once the Ocarina Glitch has been disabled will cause link to shrink instead.
In this hovering state once Ocarina Glitch is disabled, link is free to jump without softlocking in any direction by holding that direction. Link is also able to move around by using the recoil from the gust jar, simply press R and the gust jar simultaneously to make link use the gust jar and push himself backwards, additional gust uses can be chained together without having to press R, if the chain is broken then you must press R and the gust jar again simultaneously. To change link's direction you can do a sword slash. To safely change links direction without accidentally jumping then quickly tap the following 3 buttons simultaneously: the direction you want, the R button and the sword button.
If link takes damage from anything in this state then items can no longer be used (forcing link to jump from their current spot), however link will store the recoil from the damage and get hit by it once link finishes their jump. Link can be moved close to obstacles like walls or to the edge of the screen in order to jump out of bounds and reach previously inaccessible locations.
If additional distance is required, Link can hit themselves with a bomb and then trigger the jump action, when link lands they get an additional shove in the direction they jumped. Also link can gain the same effect by using the cape in the hover state before jumping.
