Students take this course based on their Exam Placement score. Upon completion and passing of this course, students will be eligible to enroll in any first year degree credit math course. Students in this course are challenged to advance their problem-solving skills and build their foundation in arithmetic and algebra. Topics include: arithmetic with positive and negative numbers, fractions, decimals, percentages; solving linear equations and inequalities; performing operations with algebraic expressions; simplifying polynomials; factoring; simplifying radical expressions; solving quadratic equations; and solving system of linear equations. This course is offered in the Fall and Spring semesters, as well as Summer terms.
