Welcome to my faculty portfolio! I am currently in my sixth year as an Assistant Professor in the Mathematics Department at Xavier University of Louisiana (XULA), where I am passionate about discovering knowledge through research, cultivating learners through my teaching and mentorship, and creating an impact with my service. 

My research interests span Applied Mathematics, Number Theory, and mathematics pedagogy, with an emphasis on exploring how mathematical ideas can be used to understand questions that extend beyond the discipline. I am particularly interested in interdisciplinary research that creates connections between mathematics and fields such as biology, economics, education, and the social sciences.

My teaching focuses on undergraduate mathematics, including Developmental Math, Precalculus, Calculus I, and Calculus II, with an emphasis on cultivating confident, analytical, and engaged learners. Mentorship is an integral part of my role as a faculty member and an important extension of the classroom. Through the Center for Undergraduate Research and Graduate Opportunity (CURGO), I work closely with undergraduate students to introduce them to mathematical research, strengthen their analytical and problem-solving skills, and prepare them for graduate study and future careers. 

Beyond my teaching and research roles, I contribute to the Xavier community through service on several institutional committees representing the Department of Mathematics and the Division of Mathematics and Physical Sciences. These experiences allow me to participate in initiatives that support our students, faculty, and the broader university mission.
