Lead and mentor a team of designers in creating ambient systems that enhance the overall game experience.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including artists, programmers, and audio designers to develop cohesive game environments.
Establish and maintain a clear design vision for ambient systems and ensure it aligns with the overall game narrative.
Oversee the development and implementation of dynamic environmental elements that react to player interactions.
Conduct regular playtests and feedback sessions to refine ambient systems and optimize player engagement.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements to incorporate innovative techniques into design processes.
Communicate design ideas and concepts effectively to stakeholders and team members to foster a collaborative environment.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Art, Computer Science, or a related field.
At least 7 years of experience in game design, with a strong focus on ambient systems and environmental design.
Proficient in design software such as Unity, Unreal Engine, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant tools.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring design teams.
Excellent understanding of game mechanics and player experience dynamics.
Strong portfolio showcasing previous work on ambient design and successful game projects.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
