You will lead a team of QA testers, overseeing testing processes and methodologies while collaborating closely with developers, designers, and producers to identify and resolve issues early in the development cycle. You will develop and maintain testing plans, create test cases, and ensure that all aspects of the game are rigorously tested for functionality. Lead and mentor a team of QA testers in functional testing of game features and systems.
Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test documentation.
Identify, track, and prioritize bugs, ensuring that they are communicated effectively to the development team.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth communication regarding functionality issues and resolutions.
Assist in developing automated testing processes where applicable.
Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and testing outcomes.
Stay abreast of industry trends and standards in quality assurance and testing methodologies.
Requirements
Proven experience in quality assurance in the gaming industry, with a focus on functionality testing.
Strong understanding of QA methodologies and processes, including bug tracking and test case management.
Experience in leading or mentoring a QA team is preferred.
Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
Familiarity with testing tools and processes, as well as game development workflows.
