You summon an overwhelming cold that creates a vast winter storm over a wide area, transforming the landscape into an icy tundra. Choose a point within range; an area with a 120-foot radius centered on that point is enveloped in a blizzard of freezing winds, snow, and jagged ice. Creatures and structures within the area are affected as follows:
Frigid Temperature: The temperature in the area plummets to far below freezing, and all water within the radius immediately freezes. Non-magical fires are extinguished, and any creature not resistant or immune to cold damage has its movement speed reduced by half for the spell's duration. Flying creatures in the area must make a Dexterity saving throw at the start of their turn or be forced to descend _____ feet due to the icy winds.
Blizzard Assault: When a creature enters the spell's area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, it must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 12d6 cold damage and 12d6 bludgeoning damage as icy shards whip through the air and will be frozen solid*. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and speed is reduced in half.
Frozen Terrain: The ground in the area is considered difficult terrain and is coated in thick ice. Any creature that attempts to move within the area must make a Dexterity saving throw or fall prone. Structures and objects in the area also suffer extreme cold and take 50 points of cold damage per round they remain in the storm.
Lasting Frost: When the spell ends, the area remains bitterly cold, covered in ice and snow, making it difficult terrain until it naturally melts. Additionally, creatures that failed their saving throw are affected by lingering frostbite, giving them disadvantage on Dexterity and Constitution ability checks until they finish a long rest. If any damage (-1 HP) is caused to creature or object, it will instantly shatter.
