Description.
While plotting what to do with the inevitable pirate invasion of Volpae, Daenestra speaks through Alwyn:
"Tell the people: I have been with them even when they weren't with me, that I'll be with them past their final breath, and that if they place their faith in me, and only me, they will live to see another sunlight, another sunrise, and the bright light that I give them."
Utter Chaos travels to Volpae. Jean polymorphs into a spitting image of Daenestra and stands 72 feet tall in front of a crowd to deliver her message.
Sverdom touched a stone and her eyes glowed a bight blue light. Ityx spoke through her as a vessel to communicate with Utter Chaos:
"Vastsus is as adaptable as I am. I fought him with lightning—struck him true—and he suffered. I struck him again, and he did not. I struck him with fire, and it came to no avail. He was struck again by fire, and it harmed him. Vastsus changes. His weakness is changing. If he knows what he is to be struck with, he may adapt. He is cunning—but he can be surprised. And in those surprises, he may be struck. Cooperation is key. You can cooperate amongst yourselves to do the same. It does not require a god. Only cooperation. And determination.
Mortality does not limit power. Fire is not his strength, nor is it his weakness. Change is his strength—and his weakness. You must change before he does.
Alternatively, project false intent. Let him adapt to the wrong thing. That is equally advisable. He has an uncanny ability to predict. The full extent of his abilities—I cannot say. We were less inclined to study him and more inclined to be rid of him.
Gods can open and close psychic connections amongst ourselves. His ability to read our minds is not the same as his ability to read yours. I do not know if there is a way to sever that connection, but cutting him off psychically would be an advisable first course of action.
To trap him would be a great undertaking. We resorted to banishment—because he was too adaptive to destroy outright. Yes. Vastus came from this world [Lithara]. We did not. We came here [Lithara] after Vastus, in order to monitor him. How his origin came to be here [Lithara], we cannot say.
Our influence did not begin here [Lithara] until Vastus himself returned here. We are worshipped by many—but not all the same. Some are worshipped by men. Some are worshipped by beastfolk.
Regmjir—"the Spark of Life"—is worshipped here [Lithara]. But her worship has been reversed. If you wish to find Regmjir, you must first restore her honor.
Kuhra is not one of my brethren, but I am familiar with her. Association. Kuhra is of Lithara. We are not. We are here [Lithara] at her grace—amongst others. Lonos is not of our brethren. Lonos is of Lithara. Ozrhamah is of my realm, but he is not of my brethren—we do not claim him. Zoa is of Lithara. Hakur is known as Xaanh.
Val is in possession of one of their [dragon's] stones, with one of the usurpers inside it.
I will do what I can to help curb Vastsus. I cannot promise you more."
Utter Chaos journeys into The Fey Wild to visit Hader, seeking insight into the mysterious “Fire People” uncovered in Jean’s research on defeating Val—research guided by a cryptic hint from Lonos.
The Fey Wild immediately proves alien and unsettling. The sky glows in shades of magenta and violet, bright despite the absence of any visible sun, and night never truly comes. Thorn-laden trees rise from the land, their leaves a dark, gemstone green and their bark black as obsidian. Steel-blue grass carpets the forest floor, broken by naturally occurring white and red flowers. Though vibrant, the land radiates danger.
The group briefly meets with Hader, Twill, and the Quills. Hader is openly grumpy, still angry with Twill for leaving for a wedding and delaying an already fragile timeline.
Using Wind Walk, the party travels to Zehmis, a fortified fire genasi city bordered by dense forest on one side and open fields on the other. Massive walls guard the city. The group is granted entry under the pretense of religious study, but only after each member provides a drop of blood for tracking and agrees to remain under constant supervision while moving between churches. The inhabitants of Zehmis are striking—many bearing hair that flickers and flows like living flame.
Their first stop is the Obsidian Church, where they meet Priest Mohnsohn, a devotee of Oarus. As they tour the city’s temples, they learn of the five primary gods worshiped in Zehmis:
Regmjir, goddess of fire and the “Spark of Life”
Iszotlz, god of weather
Xaanh, god of wisdom and knowledge
Phyphinne, goddess of healing and the physical bodies of flora and fauna
Oarus, god of stability and protection, known as The Defender
At the Church of Iszotlz, Yono notices striking similarities to Ityx. Upon comparing ritual symbols and practices, she discovers the worship and descriptions are nearly identical.
At the Church of Regmjir, the group learns of an ancient threat: a kraken abomination named Vastsus. Long ago, Vastsus ravaged Zehmis, destroyed its surrounding forests, carved lava tunnels beneath the land, and demanded worship as he sought greater power. It took the combined efforts of all five gods—Regmjir, Iszotlz, Xaanh, Phyphinne, Oarus—to defeat and banish him from the Fey Wild. The conflict spanned generations, during which Zehmis was completely sealed—no one could enter or leave. Though much of the war has been lost to time, Regmjir’s church preserves the records as a warning of the dangers of unchecked power.
Before departing, everyone except Ren submits a request for a future permit allowing freer access to the city. Yono also discovers that her magic behaves differently in the Fey Wild—Treeport is unreliable and cannot always be trusted.
The group bids farewell to Hader and the Quills, then opens a gate and returns to Lithara.
Description.
Catarina and Ren are getting married!—per the agreement made with Shala once Catarina's soul was re-captured from Ozrahmah. Shala agreed to help in exchange for the wedding so that Catarina and Ren's life force become one and it'll encourage both that one cannot die without killing the other.
Shala officiates the wedding. Before the wedding, a Balondian fire ceremony occurs. During the wedding, Catarina and Ren exchange vows and tie the know, a ritual per the custom of the forest.
Peiman and Neighn fly in with the ermines spreading petals on the aisle. After Peiman loses in a boulder, parchment, shears game, he goes first in saying his vow to Neighn.
Apollo and Alwyn are introduced and hit it off. Yono and Drax poison Apollo and Malan'nya

Note: Click to expand for full details. Below are the highlights. This was a quick run through to catch up on the timeline with the other players who went to Hell as there was a major time jump.
While the group was in Ozrahmah's plane, Yono kept their affairs in order while expanding on her goals. After waiting 3 days and finally receiving a sending message from Jean and realizing that her friends were going to be gone for a while, Yono decided to start planning for her future too. While gone, there was no known activity from the dragons or major events in the political realm. The Red Stone continued to follow Lovella around the world as she held the chromatic stones. Yono spent her time building connections and businesses.
Yono created a 'Wine & Whine' Girls Night meet up with Shala, and Ora, with occasional guests such as Lovella, Sariah, Alwyn, and Princess Aurona. Although they chose not to drink wine whenever Lovella joined, and usually smoked fairyjuanna instead. They use these meetings to bond with each out while complaining about their mundane and serious issues. They met every 3 weeks in various locations.
Yono also resumed her training with Whisper and he is now fully trained to follow commands and speak limited Common words.
L'Appilia: Yono and Prince Vayle chose to continue their relationship, though Yono was hesitant at first. Her bond with Ozrahmah made her worry about the effect their closeness might have on Vayle’s future as heir to the L’Appilian Crown. On Vertalum 10 (Ren Fest), Yono decides to stop fighting her feelings. In a heartfelt moment, Yono confided in him that she had spent her entire life suppressing her emotions because of her curse, which had destroyed every relationship she had before. She admitted that she truly cared for him, but struggled with allowing herself to feel so deeply. Vayle reassured her, promising that he would honor the pace she set for their relationship. They later revealed their relationship directly to Apollo, Eloradel, and King Eristan. Yet despite their attempts at discretion, the palace staff quickly grew suspicious as well. They referred to Yono as “Lady Yono” despite her initial insistence on the title “Lorde Blackbird,” and they allowed her free passage through the castle without resistance. Yono spent most of her nights in the Palace while the group was away. The pair went on dates around the world so that both could explore different cultures while learning more about each other.
Astricia: Yono traveled to Astricia to meet with Princess Aurona, Lord Ruler Kiventh, and Kamus. During their meeting, she returned Kamus’ childhood chess piece and expressed her gratitude for Tobias’ safe passage to Pei’Lei, as well as her appreciation for how deeply Kamus valued friendship. In return, Kamus gave her back the bracelet from Tobias that he had been safeguarding. Yono then presented her proposal for the mansion promised to her by the Astrician Crown. To Princess Aurona and Lord Ruler Kiventh, she explained her wish to transform the estate into a sanctuary for those in need—whether living in poverty or displaced by the war—and asked how much gold she would need to contribute to sustain it. Moved by the vision, Kamus offered to use his own resources to ensure the sanctuary’s continued support. An agreement was drafted, stipulating that upon her death the estate would transfer to the Crown for public use. Yono also insisted that the sanctuary be named "Soleil’s Solace", in honor of her Fey Raven who was currently in Ozrahmah’s Plane. A program is also put into place so that every month, those who live in the mansion that also have special skills can choose to travel to Pei'Lei (free of charge) and move there.
The Thrifted Treeport Plant Established: Yono grows vines on the side of the Captain's Quarters so that she is able to 'treeport' directly to the ship in the future.
Uninhabited Island between Narta and Barton's Keep: Yono moves a back up copy of the group's DNA to an uninhabited island to avoid the dragons from scrying on them and potentially hurting other people in their search. Yono marked the location with a Symbol Spell (sleep effect) so that she is alerted if someone (who is also not an animal native to the island) tries to move the box with the exception of saying the password "Chaos Reborn".
Banndrumohz: Yono asks Shala to send a message to Mysdryn to update them on the current status and that the group will not return for some time. Yono will arrange a meeting again once they are ready.
Illantai: Yono has Ora send a message to Toulo to notify King Pallas that Jean is currently away on a mission with limited contact and that she does not know a return date at this time.
Riktar: Yono visits to update the Crown on the current status of the dragons. She also asks them to notify her of any activity found regarding necromancer activity.
Isle of Drachir: Yono provides the update to the Wizards of what they learned about the Behirs. While in Drachir, Yono stops by Maeve's shop to request an item that will improve the fortitude (HP) of her birds.
Falome: Communication Bracelets: Yono picks up the new advanced group communication bracelets (10 total) from Jerry as well as her communication bracelet set for the Warden of The Æmbar Forest on Pei'Lei (3 bracelets for Lord/Lorde, Warden, and Government Building, and 2 listening devices to place in Forest). She orders an extra 2 pairs that are picked up in a few weeks (50 gold each). One pair is for when they need to contact an extra member, and the other pair is for Yono and Vayle to directly communicate. Yono gave the other extra com to Lovella so that they can keep in touch about the Chromatic Stones.
Kratel: Yono travels to the edge of the Blight in Kratel with Jeanette and Martix to try healing the land through 'Plant Growth' 8 hour spell magic. It failed to restore the earth or produce new life.
Pei'Lei: Yono continues to oversee the development of the construction of Pei'Lei. There are now 500 people living on the island.
The Mansion: Fully furnished.
The Teleportation Circle: finished and ready for use.
Landscaping: Yono planted trees in each neighborhood to map out the town. Most streets with vendors are named after common trees found in the neighborhood (e.i. Elm, Oak, Ash, Pine, Maple, Birch, Spruce, and Cedar, Willow, etc.). Most residential streets are named after fruit trees which are also planted there as an additional food resource (e.i. Orange, Apple, Cherry, Peach, Lemon, Olive, Fig, Pear, Plum, etc.).
Bowling Alley: After the construction of the bowling alley. Yono temporarily named it "Gutter Chaos" until Drax returned for the grand re-opening. Yono hosted 'Wine & Whine' night there a few times in which they attempted to play, but did not follow the rules or format of bowling at all.
Secret Poison Garden: Yono builds a structure in the forest that looks like an abandoned stone building in the middle of The Æmbar Forest. Yono sets up 4 Symbol Spells (3 fear effects, 1 pain effect at the entrance) that will set off if someone (not a native woodland creature) tries to go too closely to the structure, unless they speak the password, "The Mint Runs Wild". Yono also trained the wild animals nearby to scare away people who approach the area, in exchange for food (seeds, bugs, apples, berries, etc.). Yono also added signs like "DANGER: Naturally Occurring Poison Gas in Area" to alert people to avoid setting off the traps or running into the wild animals. A rumor also started with the young folk that the place is haunted. See Yono's Secret Poison Garden for details on the plants available.
Yono's Medicine & Recreational Plants Shops:
"The Black Bird Apothecary" is a medicine store downtown, opened by Yono, to supply the town with affordable medicine as she did not want another business to set up shop and exploit the town folk or sell unregulated cures. The prices are set not to make a major profit. A doctor's office is also available upstairs to see patients.
"The Joint Quest" is a stand in the forest line by the beach which sells recreational plant-based intoxicants and hallucinogens. The stand is placed inside the Forest jurisdiction so that it does not break any laws set forth by the town. The stand is run by one of her former colleagues from the Drachir Blue Tower. Yono uses the profits from the stand to support the Medicine Shop.
Birthday Celebrations: Yono missed her friends so she decided to hold a town celebration for the missed birthdays.
Ren (Vertalum 10): "Ren Fest" - The Town transforms to host performances, including jousting tournaments, theatrical plays, music, dancing, and demonstrations of various crafts like blacksmithing and falconry. There are also craft vendors from out of town selling handmade goods, clothing, and weapons. There are vendors for foods, but the Town supplies 2 free cups of mead and a turkey leg.
Jean (Vertalum 29): "Jean's Lavender Festival" - As the lavender will be in full bloom, there are vendors everywhere selling items that incorporate lavender such as syrups, tea, lemonade, chocolate, shortbread, soap. Lavender is planted all around the town leading up to the event. In the daytime, there are "Ballad Battles" in which competitors go around poetically throwing shade and disses at each other while a crowd forms around them. In the evening, there is a talent show in which the winners win gold, as well as a surprise well established band that plays through the night for singing, dancing, and a merry time. Attendees are encouraged to wear purple in celebration.
Drax (Lignorum 69): "Drax's Grand Flag Heist" - Barricades and Obstacles are placed around a section of town. 4 Teams are made from the participants who each have a color assigned, but all are required to wear a light color. Each participant gets 10 paint balls and a blowgun. Each team has a flag to defend from the other teams while members attempt to steal the flags from the other teams without getting hit with a paint ball. If the flag is captured, then all team members of that flag are eliminated. The winning team must be in possession of all four flags to win, and the champions will get free drinks for the rest of the night as well as their names display under a trophy for the entire year. The tagline for the event is "Steal the Flag or Dye Trying". The shop windows are boarded up with encouraging signs to protect the properties from damage. In the evening, a bowling tournament is held. Yono was unclear on some of the rules and promised Drax would teach them when they returned so this year was a little more relaxed than a competition. At night, everyone is encouraged to go out to the bars to drink and gamble.
Tourism Marketing: Events were held and advertised to attract people from all over the world to move to Pei'Lei.
Vendors from around the world were brought to Pei'Lei to sell their goods in hopes that those vendors would spread good news about the place to their community.
Yono advertised the beaches for swimming in the warm weather and whale watching in the cooler months.
There was a barracuda problem at the beginning but Yono handled it.
New Neighborhood for the new Thrifted Crew: Yono approved Ora to buy a new ship and take her current crew which currently runs The Thrifted, on the condition that she trains the new crew before taking the old one away. Since a new crew was needed, Yono commissioned Sariah to build a new neighborhood for the new crew. Yono requested that this neighborhood has the same home models as the previous, but it has more individualistic design elements in the styles and colors. The only condition is that all fences that face the street must be painted white and lined with Lavender and all houses must keep the purple roof tiling found throughout town.
Trained Animals:
Dogs: Yono and Martix trained 4 dogs (Dawn, Day, Dusk, Night) to guard the forest line and community garden & farm. 2 dogs are on the day shift and 2 dogs are on the night shift. The day shift dogs start their day by combing through the forest to make sure no one is lost. The Night Shift dogs start their day by herding all of the drunk people towards Inns or their homes.
Cats: 12 spayed & neutered cats were released into town after being trained and rewarded to catch mice. Each cat has its own area of town in which they are supposed to catch mice.
Forest Birds: They are trained to do a specific call patterns by the listening comms to alert the Warden of danger in the woods such as a fire or monsters.
The First Murder: A man murdered someone on the island after an arguement. He confessed to the crime but Yono was not sure how to proceed with the punishment. He is held prisoner, well fed, while Yono awaits the group to return.
Joma: Yono persuaded King Eristan and Prince Vayle that forging a connection with Joma would be to L’Appilia’s advantage, as Joma’s newly formed government shared with them the common ground of inexperience in the larger arena of world politics. In preparation for the upcoming Solstice Celebration (Hoarbale 49), Yono proposed that L’Appilia craft toys for orphans and impoverished children so that they too might receive gifts during the holiday. Together, Yono and Prince Vayle traveled to Joma to present the idea to the council. They explained that the toys would be gifted directly to Joma’s government, leaving it to the council to decide how best to distribute them, ensuring the gesture would not be seen as another nation interfering in the eyes of Joma’s people.
No dragon activity. The stone continues to follow Lovella, who has the chromatic stones.
Yono and Prince Vayle chose to continue their relationship and are now dating. They went on dates around the world. They later revealed their relationship directly to Apollo, Eloradel, and King Eristan. They think they are being discrete, but most of the palace staff know and refer to her as "Lady Yono".
Yono's promised Mansion in Astricia was converted into a sanctuary for those in need or those who were displaced by the wars. Kamus loves the idea and decides to fund it on her behalf. Yono names the mansion"Soleil’s Solace", in honor of her Fey Raven.
Tobias is now in Pei'Lei.
The Thrifted now has an intricately woven vine plant so that Yono can travel to the ship directly by Treeport spell.
The group's new and advanced communication bracelets were picked up from Jerry in Falome.
Yono moved a copy of the group's DNA to an uninhabited island between Narta and Barton's to keep it hidden from dragons, away from humanoids. The Symbol spell (sleep effect) password is Chaos Reborn".
Pei'Lei's construction is almost complete and the mansion is now fully furnished. The population is now 500 people.
Tobias is now in Pei'Lei.
Teleportation Circle is finished.
There is a man held in prison who murdered someone on the island. Yono wasn't sure how to punish him so she waited for the group to return.
Yono decided to host birthday holiday celebrations (Ren Fest, Jean's Lavender Festival, Drax's Grand Flag Heist) and other tourism events to boost the town's morale and attract new inhabitants.
Yono built a secret poison garden in the The Æmbar Forest which is guarded by wild woodland creatures and Symbol spells (3 fear effects, 1 pain) unless the password is "The Mint Runs Wild" spoken. There is a sign that warns people of posion gas in the area and a rumor has started that it is haunted. See Yono's Secret Poison Garden for details on the plants available.
Drax's Bowling Alley is opened. Yono named it "Gutter Chaos" until his return.
Yono opened a medicine shop downtown called "The Black Bird Apothecary" to sell medicine at a reasonable price to the community. Yono also opened a stand in the forest named "The Joint Quest" to sell recreational drugs.
Yono approved Ora to leave her position as the Thrifted's captain and also take the crew with her to her new ship (ordered), as long as she trains the new crew. Yono asked Sariah to build a new neighborhood for the new Thrifted Crew. The houses are similar shapes but each have a different color and design style of another culture to add character.
Yono casts Divination, seeking guidance from the Wild Mother on how to save Catarina. The response comes in a riddle:
"At the feet of the devil king
the Queen of the seas lies.
Through the throngs of his underlings
you must battle or all hope dies."
Urt, Drax, Jean, Ren, Peiman, Neighn, and Soleil set out for Ozrahmah’s plane to recover Catarina’s soul. Ozrahmah had claimed it after Catarina was slain by Behirs in the southern caves beneath Barton’s Keep.
Ozrahmah’s realm is a place of corruption and despair—dark, filthy, and swarming with lost souls. The sky gleams with an oily sheen, while the cracked black earth is choked with a sickly green haze. No vegetation grows here; everything reeks of decay. The terrain reminds them of where Urt foresaw Petan casting the Black Quill's Blight Spell in Kratel when he used Time Walk in the past. Upon arrival, Jean immediately sends a message to Yono, who remains behind in Lithara. They learn a grim truth: for every six seconds spent in Hell, three days pass in Lithara. With time against them, the group hides within Peiman’s portable hole. Two Behirs burrow inside, forcing the group into a quick battle before moving on. Traveling through the portable hole, they draw near Catarina’s soul but must continue the final ten miles through wind walk spell. They drift across the desolate wasteland and arrive at Ozrahmah’s throne.
The Devil King, Ozrahmah, towers three hundred feet tall upon a throne of writhing, sparkling lights—souls he consumes for power. Even his footstool writhes with trapped spirits. Ozrahmah himself wears a green robe. Though unexpectedly handsome, his form is unnervingly elven: skin so pale it reveals every vein, long fingers tipped with blackened fingertips & nails, and a smile that might be charming if not for his cracked, foul teeth.
Jean begins distracting him with song while Peiman slips toward the footstool, where Catarina’s soul lies, fragmented into three parts. He nearly loses himself trying to draw the shards free, but recalling Yono’s Intellect Fortress spell scroll, he shields his mind and succeeds on the second attempt, sealing Catarina’s fragments within a soul cage.
Meanwhile, Ozrahmah commands Urt to sit. Urt is instantly forced to sit but immediately resists, raging in defiance, but his blows leave no mark on the Ozrahmah's body.
Jean presses on, attempting to bargain for their escape. Ren, desperate, remembers the Daenestra Candle gifted by Yono. After drinking her future-sight potion, she lights the candle, and a radiant light bursts forth. From it steps a breathtaking woman with golden hair in a pale blue gown. She strikes at Ozrahmah, declaring to the party:
"Go! Leave the gate open—let them through!"
As the group retreats, Daenestra unleashes the souls imprisoned within the throne and footstool. A glittering stream of spirits pours through the gate, fleeing Hell’s grip.
They escape with Catarina's soul and reunite with Yono—only to learn that 255 days have passed in Lithara. Wrinkling her nose, she orders them to bathe immediately. Once cleansed, she escorts them to the Cleric Tower in L’Appilia, where Shala casts Revivify. Catarina breathes again. Awake at last, Catarina shares a tender moment with Ren. Ren proposes per her agreement with Shala, only to discover Catarina had planned to do the very same—had she not died first.
Behirs swallow Ren, Jean, and Yono whole. Yono wild shapes into an Owl Bear to burst out of a Behir's stomach. Behir kills Catarina.
Yono attempts to revivify Catarina but cannot. Ozrahmah appears as a voice in her head and Yono makes a bargain to offer two souls of equivalent value to her in exchange for Catarina's soul. He disappears shortly after.
Ren captures the soul of the Alpha Behir and names it Princess Sparkles.
The group makes a trade with Rhygjaa, the yellow dragon. In exchange for Jean's body back, unharmed, we will release Oalsvuuden, the blue dragon, into a body, sent to him.
Jean tells us how we can defeat the dragons, once and for all. See Dragons of the Chromatic Stones (Final Strategy) for details.
After a big disruption in Dorphian's Bay off the coast of L'Appilia, the group tries to track down what appears to be the red stone on the move through the lava tubes. After losing its trail, the group decides to explore the wintery scene they accidentally discovered while using portable hole teleportation on the way to Dorphian's Bay.
Loxodon Camp
Banndrumohz
After
Jeans meets up with a fairy named Peiman while in the shopping district of the Isle of Drachir. They devise a plan to trap the Yellow Dragon, Rhygjaa. Peiman arranges a deal with Rhygjaa offering the blue stone for Neighn's body returned, unharmed. Rhygjaa appears in Jean's Magnificent Mansion and Jean immediately kicks everyone out. Peiman puts a large magical chain around the Magnificent Mansion door and moves the door to another plane of existence. Peiman introduces himself to the group and explains Jean's master plan to buy the group some time to learn how to defeat the dragons.
The group goes to Riktar first, to learn more about dragons. Yono starts to fill in the leadership role that Jean previously held and introduces "The Leadership Baton" as a way to determine who takes the lead on the current mission.
Catarina travels to Riktar with the group and finds Damon, a necromancer, in an underground illegal gambling hole. She trades 70 years of her life in exchange for dark powers. Her eyes turn all black. The group interogates Damon but gains nothing so they kill him. They use Time Walk Spell to learn more about Catarina's necromancy deals in the past and learn that she originally sacrificed 23 cleric souls to originally gain power to become the pirate queen. In an attempt to leave the group, she attacks Drax, Ren, Peiman, Neighn, and Huxley before they lock her in Neighn's portable hole. The group finds Jeanette who convinces Catarina to stay with the group to work together to get Jean back.
The group travels to Kratel to visit the mines to obtain more diamond dust so that we can use it for more high level spells such as 'revivify'.
Neighn is captures by the Yellow Dragon.
On Vym 52, the group attempts to try to use the 'Speak with Dead' spell again on Petan's dead head to get him to confess to committing crimes against L'Appilia.
Shala polymorphs as Neighn and casts the 'Cone of Truth' spell to get Petan's dead head to answer our questions honestly. Shala then casts the 'Speak with Dead' spell. As Shala took time out of her busy day to visit us, we gave her the last question to ask.
Did you break your oath as the High Cleric of L'Appilia?
"Yes."
Were you the hooded figure in Kratel that cast the spell to summon the Blight?
"Yes."
Were you involved with wiping Jeanette's memory?
"Yes."
Were you complicit with the Blight encompassing Mirse?
"Yes."
Shala asks: Did you kill Prince Vayle?
"Yes."
See 'Petan' for all questions and answers provided by Petan post mortem.
In a rage, Shala screams at the top of her lung while Yono tells the group what she knows about Prince Vayle. He was a powerful first-born young prince of L'Appilia that died about a hundred years ago after he fell from the cliffs at Dorphian's Bay. Petan told the royal family at the time that he was not able to revive Vayle. Shala forces us to go with her back to L'Appilia to show King Eristan the interrogation we just had with Petan to exonerate the group's crime and determine how to proceed with the news of Vayle. The group meets up with Shala in the royal crypt the next day and Shala revives Prince Vayle.
On Vym 39, the group returns to Pei'Lei to offload a spooky sarcophagus that the group got from another haunted mansion while Yono was on sabbatical. Urt buries the sarcophagus in a spot right outside the main forest. Yono casts 'plant growth' spell to grow a tree over it as an added layer of protection, but the tree that grows is a strange looking spooky tree called the "Sakashima" tree. The group gets bad vibes from the tree and wants to cut it down. Yono protests but is persuaded by Jean to return to the ship and that he "will not cut down the tree". Unbeknownst to Yono, the ones that stay behind cut the tree down, with Urt and Ren doing most of the heavy lifting work. The group then went to the haunted mansion for a few weeks.
On Vym 49, during the journey to return to Pei'Lei after the spooky mansion adventure, the group confess to Yono that they cut down the tree. Yono becomes very angry and emotional at the group and they yell at each other. Yono is upset that they killed an innocent tree behind her back and that they kept it as a secret from her for weeks. Urt gives a honest apology but does not regret his decision in cutting the tree down. Ren attempts to apologize but then backtracks by putting the blame on Yono for not being open enough for Ren to feel comfortable to tell her what happened sooner. Jean apologized for being a bad friend but show no remorse in his tone and delivery and implied that she was a bad elf and druid as well. While still enraged, Jean teleports Yono, Alwyn, and Catarina (who is still blind) to Pei'Lei where Yono breaks down and cries. The rest of the group goes to Ilantai to go to the vault to drop off treasure.
Catarina attempts to do a ceremony to purify what remains of the tree. Yono speaks to the tree and it tells her "You do not need to ask for forgiveness as this is not your fault...please, burn me". Yono respects its wishes and burns the tree but collects its ashes for later use. In anger, Yono casts a spell on the sarcophagus before the group leaves to L'Appilia.
The Treeport Trio travel to L'Appilia and seek Shala to ask her to heal Catarina so that her sight returns. As they spend the full day healing, Yono and Alwyn visit "The Wild Mother", a large silver maple tree that is super important to Yono. Yono spent much of her childhood reading at the tree and when she was training to be a druid, she practiced much of her spells on the tree to offer it more life. It became huge and the field surrounding the tree filled up with more trees that Yono planted for her 'Divination' spell to ask the tree for guidance. Yono is essentailly trauma bonded to this tree and goes to it to seek forgiveness and guidence. The Wild Mother replies to Yono that she can "...grow in harmony with adversion. Things will hurt you, but that doesn't mean they're bad. If you can handle the pain, the benefits will outway the reward. If you do not, then you will grow thorns. A woodpecker may peck at a tree but it will also eat the insects and prevent disease". The Wild Mother then gifts Yono a fey wild companion raven named Soleil [pronounced "So-Lay"].
Yono and Alwyn talk about their own religions while clearing the enchanted forest. Yono confesses to Alwyn that her family's curse mark is actually a sword and the blade is the only visible across her eyes. The sword is a symbol for Daenestra and Yono wants to learn more. Alwyn confesses to Yono that she needs to leave the group and continue her journey to serve Daenstra. Yono supports her decision and offers suggestions such as going to Joma to set up a refugee camp for the halfings. They return to Shala to find Catarina's vision healed. Yono receives a message from Jean and they set up a meeting.
On Vym 50, everyone meets up in Vulpae as a truce. Urt, Ren, Jean, and Drax sincerely apologize to Yono for their wrongdoings and reacting due to their misunderstandings. Ren gifts Yono a level 3 mossy Soul Stone. Yono accepts their apologies but lists 5 conditions that the group must do for repentance. They agree to Yono's terms. Alwyn announces her departure and the group have a going away bar fight party for her at the Sodden Squid in Falome.
See 'The Yono Accords' for the agreed repentance.
[New Feat: Undead Scourge]
The Group decides to go to Barton's Keep after a recommendation of a spooky mansion while in Ilantai. They learn briefly about the Petrence Family, who were promenent family in charge or import/export of the island that strangely disappeared 300 years ago. All that remains of the family is a 600 year old mansion that is haunted and does not let go of its dead.
The group meets and fights many spirits while navigating the maze that is the mansion filled with magical items. Yono touches a taxidermic white cat that transports her into a room filled with blood and gets separated from the group momentarily. The white cat later reminds Yono of Metzi and suggests Jean summons his cat to the mansion to help us, but the cat is revealed by Catarina to be his father, Martix, who is now with the group. While slightly possessed, Ren carelessly plays in a room filled with fog and her spirit separates from her body but is brought back to life when Urt stabs her with a special dagger. Later that day, Ren dies again from being struck by lightning after touching a painted wall and Yono had to cast revivfy to bring her back to life. Once alive, Yono scolds Ren, "YOU'VE ALREADY DIED TWICE TODAY". After reaching the attic of the Mansion, Yono casts 'Commune with Nature' spell to obtain the full layout of the mansion to explore the secret passages we missed. Yono sets a cemetery of mimics on fire on her way down just because.
The group finds the secret passage way on the first floor and enter into a large room with lava flow. A monster, Retes, appears. The group fights the monster but Yono becomes unconscious after the liar attacks. Ren is nearing falling unconscious herself with 1 HP left so Catarina decides to use a cleric spell to bring a tree from underneath and wrap it around Retes to kill him. However, Catarina falls dead after using a high level cleric spell despite the warnings from Zoa. Ren frantically runs up to Yono to heal her. Yono wakes up and is immediately yelled at to bring Catarina back. Yono casts 'revivify' spell to bring Catarina back but there is a force that is blocking Yono's magic to heal her completely. Catarina is now blind.
Jean extinguishes the forge and the mansion starts crumbling. The group splits up and each pairing obtains an item they want from the mansion. Yono obtains a firestone gem that can cast Fireball spell, and old books with instructions on how to fuse souls with objects. The group also collect Petrence Family Member bones so that they can use 'Speak with Dead' spell later to learn the full story of what happened to the family. From the gathered clues, the group believes that they made a pact with the demon once the business started falling apart. The group escapes unharmed before Yono throw a fireball into the mansion before celebrating in the local bar.
The group learns a new feature: 'Undead Scourge' which gives each individual the ability to instant recognize anything undead within 60 ft, and cannot be surprised by undead attacks. Each will also have advantage on attacks and saving throws against the undead.
See 'Proposal of L'Appilia and Astrician Embassies' for a copy of the document.
Yono meets back up with the group on their way to attack the high cleric, Petan, in L'Appilia. The group brings disposable pirates to pillage L'Appilia as a distraction while they find Petan. The pirates end up killing many elves and creating fires. After the group kills Petan in the tower, they help the L'Appilian civilians. Half of the group focuses on killing the rest of the pirates and the other half focuses on putting out all of the fires. Afterwards, the group heads back to Jean's Magnificent Mansion to sleep for the night.
In the morning, Yono feels guilty about the group's actions in L'Appilia and the damage done to the forest. Although she has no love for the elves there, she does believe that the high elves need to survive in case L'Appilia falls. After talking with the group and realizing the dire situation if L'Appilia ever fell, she decided to draft up a proposal to give to Princess Aurona and Lord Ruler Kiventh with a suggestion to build Embassies in both L'Appilia and Astricia to reintroduce and reintegrate both cultures.
They both agreed to bring it up to King Eristan. In exchange, Yono will get a nice home in Astricia where she can settle in case she does not have an alternative home. Although she created this idea out of the goodness of her heart, she did not hesitate to take selfish benefits from the opportunity.
The group, however, is declared as enemies of L'Appilia until they are able to clear their name by obtaining evidence for the King that Petan was evil or acting in ill favor towards L'Appilia or Lithara.

Description.
While fighting backnar in the wasteland of Kratel, the group is saved by Lovella, who takes them to an abandon library of Kratel, the former land of the dwarves. The dwarves all perished after the Blight infected their lands.
The group trades their honey supply with the Balondians in exchange for money.
Jean attempts to cast 'Legend Lore' on the blue stone but becomes possessed by it instead. The group travels to a remote tribe and meets its leader, Shala, who provide Yono with the diamond dust to heal Jean and return him to his normal state.
Shala reveals that she is actually an Elf from L'Appilia and the daughter of Petan.
The Group travels through the caves in Volpae. They enter Cave IV.
While fighting a giant Purple Worm, they meet with two travelers, Aldor and Celedor, who decides to join the group.
On Vym 86, the group proceeds towards the heat in the caves until tentacles appear from the ground. Jeans tries to psychically connect to Val and faints from mind damage. The group decides to escape immediately.
The group visits the North Port in Ilantai where they run into a seaside town celebrating the Festival of Constellations. They see children dressed up as stars walking around the plaza while the adults are sitting in the town square on cusions while giving coins to the kids and preparing laterns for the nighttime celebration.
The group gets ancy after a few drinks and presuades Yono to grow mushrooms. Ren, Aloywn, Drax, Apollo, and Yono eat the shrooms. Yono thinks people are taffy. Jean tries to mess with Yono by telling her "Make the stretchy people drown," but he is too persuasive so it backfires and Yono casts Control Water which causes the sea level to rise by 20 feet. A large wave crashes towards the town causing the children and adults to panic and run. Thankfully, a mysterious figure stops the waves and saves the people. The group GTFO out of town, as all the ships in the harbor were also damaged by the waves. After escaping consequences, the group watches the fireworks from a distance before heading off to their next mission.
Yono becomes fearful to get drunk or do drugs after this event as she is more powerful than she thought. She thinks back to the Joman soldiers that were killed in Astricia and she becomes sad and regretful. She starts taking out her guilt on the group by making snarky comments and distancing herself from fun group activities.
The group meets Alwyn on the docks of Astricia looking for passage across the ocean. Yono recognizes the symbol on her armor as the same that is her family curse. Alwyn is traveling across the world on mission for the Church of Deanestra. The group welcomes her to their ship and she decides to tag along with their adventures..
While shopping in Astricia, the group meets Neighn Marcado, a fairy from Mirse. She shows us to her portable hole and gives us information on the stones. She sends us on a mission to obtain haycite.
Catarina Blanchelette and her ship's crew takes the group to Semsual Bay, outside of Joma and Riktar, and finds an underwater Elven Ruin. The group uses the Amulet of Water Breathing gifted by King Eristan to stay under water for long periods of time. They find a main hall where they solve a puzzle by making the statutes sing to open a secret door. Within the new room, they enter a garden with carvings of L'Appilian symbols and animals from the L'Appilian Forest. They solve another puzzle and another room opens. The group obtains the Blue Stone.
Yono goes through her first MūnMūūn with the group while under the full effect of the curse. The group decide to go to the forest outside of Astricia to explore, while Ren searches for an Astrician falcon. They came overnight by a lake. Yono decides to mediate by the water. Her powers become overwhelming and she levitates across the lake with water flowing all around her effortlessly. She is provoked by the group, from a rock thrown, and then attacks her friends. Jean chooses not to fight and Ren does not want to do any serious damage, but Yono is eventually knocked out by Urt.
Yono is annoyed and angry at being bested when she wakes up as she is still under the effects of MūnMūūn. After the period ends, she is ashamed of her actions and feels embarrassed but does not bring it up to the group. She buys a healing potion necklace for each member of the group as an apology, but still feels regretful and worries about her friendships. The group leaves for L'Appilia but Yono decides to stay behind in Falome as she is afraid to face the King after disobeying his order to stay within L'Appilia.
Joman soldiers appear outside of the Astrician walls to attack the capital. Half of the group dresses up as performers to sneak into the camp undercover to get intel. Ren runs into a halfing from Joma named Drax, who decides to join our group as he is opposed to Queen Jisenia, who is trying to exterminate the halfings from her domain. Ren, Draw, and Jean drug the army before returing to the capital walls.
Yono agrees to partner up with Princess Aurona to use a spell to fight the Joman Army. They both cast Erupting Earth against the army from the top of the wall. The spell is very effective. In the morning, the total casualties are:
188 dead
73 mortally wounded (eventually 261 dead in total)
2,000+ wounded
Investigator's Note: drugging the army causes far more causalities.
Princess Aurona bursts into tears and runs away after the attack, overwhelmed by guilt. Yono, on the other hand, internalizes her guilt. As MūnMūūn approaches, her emotions become subdued, leaving her unable to express herself fully. Once the effects of MūnMūūn wear off, Yono remains mostly silent about the event, although it continues to weigh heavily on her. Her self-confidence and sense of morality deteriorate as she doubts the effectiveness of her attempts to be good.
During the aftermath of the battle, Princess Aurona tells the group about the origins of Lithara and powerful stones that were spread across the world. These stones were powerful and hold even greater power if all are obtained. She thinks that the Joman government is seeking these stones and asks us to search for the a stone thought to be in the Joman Bay. Camus awards each member of the group with a pin of a small falcon with ruby eyes to show that we are loyal servants of the Lord Ruler Kiventh, and also allows the group access to government buildings.
On Vym 26, Yono, Jean, Ren, and Urt arrive in Astricia and are taken to the castle in the Capital city where they meet, Kamus, the best friend of the Lord Ruler Kiventh, who is missing. They are sent on a mission towards L'Appilia to find Kiventh and his crew on the Ship "The Graham".
The group stop's by Torre's Speck and become acquainted with the pirate folk, before setting sail for Falome and L'Appilia again. Upon getting to shore, they find the Kiventh's ship and mend it for the return passage. They go into the forest outside of L'Appilia where they run into and fight undead like dwarves (zombies) begging for help saying phrases such as "I don't wanna die" while attacking the group. They are only able to be killed by the group from crit rolls.
On Vym 56, the group enters the L'Appilian forest with the help of Yono. Within the forest, they see a white glowing figure with long white hair and wearing all white. She is standing next to a sleeping figure, who is presumed to be Lord Rule Kiventh. The woman introduces herself as Aurona, the princess of L'Appilia. She explains that Kiventh enterest the forest, nearing death, and she healed him through sleep. She tells us more about the Blight spreading from Mirse and Kratel, but assures that it cannot penatrate the Enchanted forest of L'Appilia.
The Princess agrees sneak out of L'Appilia, against her father's decree, to transport the Lord Ruler back to Astrica once he regains enough health. The group travels back to Astricia.
Yono-Oko travelled to Falome to begin her search for her brother, Apollo. Ren was in search of special creatures, and Urt was tagging along for the adventure. Jean was looking for passage.
Unfamiliar with the social norms outside of L'Appilia, Yono found herself in a tavern named "Resbit" with only gold and silver family antiques to trade for currency. She attempted to order a meal but was unable to pay with her goods, so Ren and Urt offer to pay for her meal. While introducing herself to the human and wood elf, a bard steps onto the stage and begins to preform a song "L'Appilian Girl" (tune of Uptown Girl by Billy Joel) to Yono-Oko after realizing that she is a fellow elf with a strange mark across her face. After his preformance, he introduces himself as Jean Leaneux, a half elf boy from Pebble's Bottom in Narta.
They decide to all travel as a group to support Yono-Oko's goal of finding her brother. In return, Yono would take Jean to L'Appilia and also help Ren find a White Hart, a rare and sacred L'Appilian deer.
The group travels towards Astricia by ship and begin their adventure.
