Every month, a Jedi Master is named Master of the Month for their exceptional work throughout the previous month.
The Master of the Month is chosen in large part based on activity. Hosting special events like QotDs or game nights, hosting server startups, being active in public and private chatrooms, and general in-game activities are all taken into consideration.
Ideas, proposals, and solutions to existing issues are always welcomed and play a significant role in how the Council votes. This covers both participating in conversations with other Masters and Instructors in #hr-forum and casting votes in #masters-votes.
Show the Council that you can manage circumstances appropriately and with the right behavior. Your ability to lead is demonstrated by how you respond to reports and handle them. Always take a moment to consider the circumstance before acting.
Ask for help when you need it. Asking for assistance demonstrates humility since it demonstrates that you aren't ashamed to admit when you can't handle a situation. Pinging a member of the Moderation Committee or a Jedi Councilor is always the best course of action if a situation spirals out of control. Self-handling the situation will frequently make it worse.
Be useful. Instead of just farming #help-center and #promotions, demonstrate that you're actively hunting for people who are in need and helping them whenever and however you can, both in-game and on the Discord server.
For example, politely handling side-chat demonstrates your understanding of the fact that not everyone is aware of the rules and that it is your responsibility to make them clear.
Set yourself apart from the crowd. Find ways to distinguish yourself from the competition by showcasing your originality and distinctiveness to the Council as well as the rest of the Order.
Maintain connections. Good relationships with the Council, your peers, and the general public will greatly increase your prospects of success. Make sure you convince them that you are deserving of the position and rank because their vote is a crucial part in how the Council choose their candidates.
Do not anticipate success. Goal-setting is usually beneficial, but avoid making it seem as though you believe you should be Master of the Month. Instead of presuming you are deserving of the status, you should demonstrate your worth. Few Masters become Councilors, after all.
Above all, if you are not selected as Master of the Month, try not to be disheartened and instead see it as a time to reflect and make corrections. If you came in second or third, you're already ahead of the pack because it shows that the Council has taken notice of you. Don't lose heart; the Council will always make sure that your hard work is noticed.
We wish you luck, and may the Force be with you as you pursue your goals!
