Verbal Warning - It is strongly recommended to give a verbal warning when someone breaks a rule. The only situations where you shouldn't give one, are if the user is a repetitive rule breaker, they clearly had malicious intentions or if the user was glitching. If you would rather, you can use :npm [user] [message] to issue a verbal warning because it uses the same GUI as :warn, but does not log the warning.
Warning 1 - (:warn [user] [reason])
Warning 2 + Jail Time - Keep the infractor in :jail for no longer than five minutes (:warn [user] [reason] | :jail [user]| !cd 300), and afterwards run (:unjail [user]).
Use !cd AND DO NOT use :cd. Using the ":" prefix will execute the command on the server rather than locally, making it visible to everyone and causing unnecessary disturbance. You can re-warn the user and jail them yet again if they attempt to bypass the jail by rejoining (but log this with something like "user rejoined"). Using :cd may also count as admin abuse, so be wary.
Kickwarn - (:kickwarn [user] [reason])
Ban - (:ban [user] [reason])
Open a ticket to request a Jedi Master or Councilor if none are in-game.
If you find the situation to escalate beyond control, contact a Jedi Councilor.
Mass spammers should be instantly kickwarned, if you see someone bypassing the chat filter in-game. They are eligible for an instant mute not exceeding 5 minutes.
Low Ranks (Force Sensitive - Initiate) should be spoken to, rather than directly through the system, before being warned. Recognize that although the fundamentals are covered at the Rule Board, the majority of lower ranks are new to the Order and do not yet fully understand every single rule. But you can always use the warning system if necessary. If they persist, you may kick them multiple times and eventually ban them (as a Master).
Middle Ranks (Jedi Knights) should typically only receive a text warning; if they persist, employ the standard warning system. Any additional attempts to commit an offence should be immediately reported to a member of the Moderation Team or a Jedi Councilor (or in the case of a Temple Guard, a Captain+ of the Guard as they employ their own punishments) so that the appropriate sanctions can be applied in the TJO Discord server. Infractions, demotions, etc. are all examples of punishments.
Ensure the individual you punish is the correct one at all times. In any case, at the very least, provide the first four characters of the person's username. It is advised to type the whole username of the person.
Avoid giving repeated warnings. For instance, if an Instructor has already issued a warning for spawn killing, do not issue another warning for the same offence (unless they commit another offence or repeat the same one).
