Feeling disappointed means feeling sad, unhappy, or displeased because something was not as good as expected or because something you hoped for or expected did not happen.
For example, you might feel disappointed when you hoped that your family would go to YOUR favorite restaurant for dinner, but instead they chose your sister's favorite restaurant.
[Coping Strategies] If you are feeling disappointed, try one of these strategies to help you feel better:
Take a quiet mindful moment;
Talk to someone about how you are feeling;
Write down a list of things you are grateful for today;
Try to create some new hopes...even though things didn't happen the way you wanted. For example, if a playdate with a friend got cancelled, try to find another time that works.
