In time for the approaching face-to-face classes, Flint members and adviser attended Brigada Eskwela on August 9 at 9:00 a.m., held in the Flint clubroom at Don Alejandro Roces Sr. Science-Technology High School (DARSSTHS) campus. This activity consisted of a club meeting where everyone introduced themselves, followed by a clean-up of the clubroom.

With the editorial board, club members, and club adviser Mr. John Edmark Telesforo present, Flint began by going over the club's plans for A.Y. 2022-2023, a few members gave suggestions on how to make this year better for the Rocesians. The club adviser promised that this year's school journalism will be different.

In the afternoon, the remaining attendees, along with Mrs. Maricel Delos Reyes, a former Flint adviser, helped to clean and decorate the clubroom. Several club members gave donations and also provided cleaning and decoration supplies. The clubroom has not been used in more than two years, and as the start of face-to-face classes nears, Flint wants to ensure that it is kept clean and maintained. It took the collective efforts of the entire club to make this activity a success. The Flint’s Editor-in-chief, Ms. Lizette Mikylla Miguel, says that she used her position to encourage all Flint members to clean and decorate the clubroom, in that simple way, she made the club brigada possible.

Despite the challenges, the activity was still organized effectively thanks to the club's teamwork. “I think the challenge we encounter is a lack of materials . But, since we had our teamwork, we still finished our brigada successfully.” Ms. Lizette Mikylla Miguel, the Editor-in-chief said. The brigada brought delight and enjoyment to many people. Ms. Herlyn Faith Embone, the Flint's Column Writing Head Editor, remarked that “Brigada is really tiring but on the other hand, it is fun. Helping each other, being with new people, and having a new environment is good for every student who deserves to be happy.”
