Another word to use for physical traits could be skills. They are used to evaluate the Morok's physical capabilities. But not only that. Certain activities require a higher skill level to succeed or even to unlock it. Higher skills give you higher chances of success.
Every Morok has 10 of them:
Strength Agility Endurance Tracking Attack Defence Speed Jump Swimming Flight
Each trait can earn a maximum of 10 stars, which are divided into 2 categories by 5: fixed and gained
☆☆☆☆☆[☆☆☆☆☆]
The first 5 stars are predetermined. Only these get considered when breeding and pass down to offspring.
a. Starter Moroks get their stars rolled
b. Bred Moroks gets a maximum of 3 stars from parents and the rest rolled
To see how many stars the pup inherits, sum up the parent's fixed traits
If the sum is.., then pup inherits...
10-9= 3 stars
8-4= 2 stars
3 and less= 1 star
c. You can increase the number of the stars by using a token
1 token = 1 star
The other 5 stars are gained through training and experience. While these do not pass to offspring, they help even up the field when participating in activities
Activity art gets rolled 0-5 trait points (TP). If the activity doesn´t have a trait specification, the trait is rolled randomly from the 10. If activity specifies trait requirements, the TP go to that trait(s)
10 points = 1 star. Each skill can only earn 50 TP
Which activities use the traits? Hunting, quests, challenges and some events
Trait requirements grow with difficulty. The basic, easy ones have no requirements. The more difficult they get, the higher the requirement. Some might want a certain number of stars in any of the skills. Others might want a certain amount of stars in one or more specific skills. The maximum number of stars an activity can require is 7
Requirements are always written in the activity description.
Hunting a deer requires 5 stars for jump and 5 stars for any trait
If your Morok does not meet these criteria, the chance of success is 10%
If your Morok meets only 1 requirement, the chance of success is 30%
If your Morok meets both requirements, the chance of success is 50%
With each star above the requirement, the chance of success grows by 5%
When the hunter submits the artwork, it will be rolled 2-5 TP for both Strength and Speed, regardless of success. Depending on the final RNG result, you will receive a certain number of points (e.g. 3). With a new piece of art with the same requirements (e.g. also Jump), you get a new roll (e.g. 2). This will continue until you have a total of 10 points, at which point you will receive a star for that trait.
