Mostly Morok packs follow the hierarchy structure that is depicted below. But some packs, having more members, follow their own structures in moderation between "hunters" to "slaves". The structure of the pack is vital for Morok kind. Keeping together, they help each other survive and weather attacks of other packs.
As we already found, a female is the boss of the pack - the Queen. She is not against pushing her weight around. The last word is always after her, whatever the decision was. If an animal is female, they will generally be treated better by the males and will make sure to give them safe passage, just chasing those over the territory boundary if they do not meet the requirements.
The pack may have a few females but only one will be "the alpha" - the Queen. The wittiest, the smartest, and the best for whatever reason female, who always has the opportunity to overcome somebody whatever opponent she's met, is the alpha. Mostly, being born a female in the pack is already golden luck. The best place and gifts from other pack members - every word will weigh from the day she growls the first time. But be sure that other females will try to hunt her down and let her die, seizing a moment, to occupy her place.
The alpha male has the sole breeding rights to the Moroka. This is "the favourite male" of the pack. He is chosen by the alpha female and has almost the same control over the pack members as the female has. Mostly the alpha males are good hunters as for a female to be fed is in the first place.
By the agreement of the first female, the first male may become a father of other cubs of other females in the pack.
The Morok(s) who is incredibly wise and gives advice, but may not actively do stuff like hunting and such. The status could be also given to older, retired ones.
*if an admin uses this role, it is called "Royal Advisor" or "Spirit" instead.
This role is not less respected than elders or hunters. Healers are Moroks, who know well what materials to choose to cure any disease of their pack. Such Moroks are even closer to the spiritual world and are frequently used to defeat Prystrits.
The males below the alpha male and the females generally perform different tasks.
The highest-ranking members are the defenders and hunters. They are highly respected by the pack and get the best after the alpha's pieces of prey. They are also the guardians of the whole pack and are responsible for the safety of the pack. In case they let the pack down, allowing an unwanted intruder in, this Morok will be ripped by the pack into pieces.
The lower-ranking members are generally the babysitters of the group. Those members as well should be guarded pretty well as they watch after curious youth.
Baby-sitters are looking after the young Moroks when weaned, while their parents, renew their bond by hunting together and roaming over vast distances to secure their prey. Mostly, baby-sitters are females kept in the pack for this reason. But sometimes males keep this function excluding of course the feeding of the youth.
Cubs, or the offsprings of Moroks, are kept under strict advisory by the pack members from an egg to the yearling. Being curious and quick, they may cause lots of trouble to each pack member. Nevertheless, they are tolerated by each pack member because cubs in the pack are not a rare but pretty infrequent phenomenon. Cubs of other packs if found, may be easily stolen or adopted for widening the pack. Unfortunately, if either a female or male finds a male cub, it might be easily killed for the sex identity just not to share the pack with it.
The mood of the pack changes as soon as the pup develops the ability to hunt small prey. Since that moment, the cub is considered "adult" and shares the same "adult" tasks with other members.
The cub of Alphas will be next after both of Alphas are in the pack in control.
The lowest and the most "pathetic" for Moroks rank is "a slave". How great or beautiful Morok wouldn't be, a slave would stay a slave until it proves otherwise. There are a few reasons for carrying this status in the pack:
Option 1. Adoptive/Captive. Most frequently, some of the pack members may "betray" their pack by joining another. This happens because of multiple possible reasons, starting from own will to leave the pack, and ending up being expelled for whatever reason. Captives may join the winning pack after the fight if that pack decides to leave the particular member alive.
Option 2. Being "found" at whatever age by the pack member. Such Moroks may be found and adopted by the pack, and when after the introduction it won't show special abilities or... the female just doesn't like it, they are deemed to be slaves forever or until proved a worthy in the pack.
Option 3. Having "side affairs". Although a female has the right to choose between the males in her pack who will share a den with her for the night, god forbid that a male or another female, without the approval of the Alpha, should have relations with the outside pack. Sometimes this can lead to severe punishment or even banishment from the pack.
Option 4. Friendship with a human. The worst of Moroks' "sins". Especially painful for wild Moroks, who basically hate the human race for whatever they did to nature. May share a role or slave or be banished from the pack forever, unless the "betrayer" shows the actual use of Morok-human friendship.
