These picture frames have an LED tape light inserted, allowing them to be backlight on demand.

Robert Lang originally folded this model with glassine to allow for the layering to be visible. Using red tant, the extra patterns are only visible when backlit. Extra depth was added to the model by star puffing the hexagons to create wells.

Variations on The Hexagon, with patterns hidden underneath the hexagon flagstones. This allows for a unique and surprising view when backlit. They are the same construction as the floating frame versions, but with thicker paper as the backlit is closer to the model and consistent.
