Purpose: This is written so it can be turned directly into a one-page infographic, poster, or website scroll.
Short sentences. Clear contrasts. No intimidation.
Most homeowners are never told this.
Both exist.
They are not the same thing.
(What the industry has always done)
Pressure in the refrigerant lines
Temperature of the pipes
What is happening inside the cooling coil
How much moisture is being removed
Whether heat is actually leaving the air correctly
So the technician does the best possible job using indirect signs.
That’s called an approximation.
✔ Better than guessing
✔ Better than shortcuts
✖ Not direct proof
Air conditioning doesn’t just cool air —
it removes heat and moisture at the same time.
Without special sensors:
You cannot see moisture removal
You cannot see real heat transfer
You cannot see if the system is truly balanced
So even a good technician has to interpret.
That’s not dishonesty.
That’s a limitation of tools.
(What becomes possible with TA-14 technology)
This method uses real-time measurements of the air itself, before and after it passes through the coil.
Temperature and humidity going into the coil
Temperature and humidity coming out
How heat and moisture change over time
This shows what the system is actually doing, not what we think it’s doing.
In Step 13.5:
The technician does not decide when charging is “done”
The system watches the air and verifies performance
Adjustments happen in tiny, controlled steps
The system stops only when performance is stable and correct
No guessing.
No “looks good to me.”
Just evidence.
You are trusting experience
Results can vary between technicians
Most systems are “close enough”
You are shown proof
Results are repeatable
The system documents itself
This protects:
Your comfort
Your equipment
Your warranty
Most of the industry cannot do Step 13.5 yet.
That’s why TA-14:
Teaches Step 13 honestly
Clearly labels its limits
Uses Step 13.5 when the right tools exist
TA-14 believes homeowners deserve clarity — not confidence theater.
Step 13:
“This is as accurate as possible without seeing inside the system.”
Step 13.5:
“This is verified by measuring what the air is actually doing.”
Both are responsible.
Only one is proof.
