TA-14 Technician Certification is an individual, voluntary certification for HVAC technicians who wish to formally demonstrate adherence to the TA-14 Academy professional sequence and conduct standard.

This certification focuses on how work is performed, not on diagnosis, sales, or outcomes.

It exists to make disciplined professional behavior visible, repeatable, and defensible in a field where most work occurs out of sight.

TA-14 Technician Certification is independent of employment, licensing, manufacturer programs, or regulatory bodies.
It does not replace required credentials and does not grant authority to perform work.

All TA-14 certifications require affirmation of the TA-14 Professional Pledge.

Certification Patch

Individuals who complete TA-14 Technician Certification receive a TA-14 Academy Certified Technician arm patch.

• One patch per individual
• Issued to the person, not the company
• Represents personal accountability for sequence and conduct
• Does not imply authority, approval, or guarantees of outcome

The patch signals documented process commitment — not superiority.

How Certification Works

• The individual technician requests certification
• Applicable TA-14 standards are reviewed
• Required affirmations, including the Professional Pledge, are completed
• Certification is granted based on documented process verification standards
• Certification may be renewed or re-verified as standards evolve

Certification administration is handled outside the TA-14 Academy education site.

Public Recognition (Optional)

Certified technicians may opt into a public listing on the TA-14 Academy website.

Listings include:

• Individual name
• Certifications held

Public listing is voluntary and non-ranked.
It does not imply endorsement, performance validation, or guarantees.
