Five Points Working Group

My comments are about AI and automation:

I appreciate the department embracing AI at this stage. At the same time, I have some concerns about the fast changing technology with seemingly unlimited possibilities, and at the same time, the unknown negative impacts, such as hacking or outage of technology we depend on.

I assume the automation or data collection is done through satellite or some sort of wireless communication. Are there any provisions for emergency situations, both natural and manmade disasters ? Are there any efforts to maintain backup or old systems?

Regarding the tracking of vehicles, are there privacy issues to be concerned about? The AI regulations are still being worked on at the federal level and we are not sure which direction it will go.
