Rektio in Finnish doesn't really have an English translation, even if it exists in English as well. Basically, it means that certain verbs have to be used with certain prepositions or a certain form of the words connected to it. An example could be: to look at,to look for, to look in, to look out for, to look out and to look like. Or get in, get on, get at, get by, get along, get over, etc.
