Freshgrade
Our class will be using Freshgrade this year. For those who may be new to Freshgrade, it’s an online tool for communicating student learning (reporting). You will be able to comment and encourage your child, and see your child’s progress in real time. Please visit the following link to learn more about Freshgrade https://www.freshgrade.com/parents/.
Types of Posts You'll See:
Progress: One type of post will be used to show progress towards specific learning goals. In this case, there will likely be some evidence of learning along with feedback and suggestions to move forward, including support at home. This type of post will be re-visited over the year.
Snapshots: The second type of post will be a Snapshot related to specific curriculum areas to help you understand where your child is in relation to typical grade level expectations. The language used for this involves a scale moving from emerging---developing---proficient----extending. These posts are intended to be a quick view and will be supported by learning evidence in the more detailed posts described above.
Learning Journeys: I like to create “learning journeys” for parents to see what were up to! Please be sure to click the links and explore our work with your child.
