Mary Elizabeth (Chinlund) Ray

Mary Elizabeth Ray, 96, of Rock Island, died Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Illini Restorative Center Silvis, IL. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church Rock Island.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 7, at Hodgson Funeral Home in Rock Island. Visitation is one hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. James Lutheran Church or the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

Mary was born August 8, 1915, in Aledo, Illinois, to Thomas and Florence (Lindblad) Chinlund. She married John Ray in 1943 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death, June 6, 1988. Elizabeth worked at Modern Woodman Insurance in Rock Island before she retired.
