Bobby E. Davis

Bobby E. Davis, 81, of Rock Island, died Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf.

Services for Mr. Davis will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2009 at St. James Lutheran Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be Friday, one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at at Memorial Park Mausoleum, Rock Island. Memorials may be directed to the St. James Lutheran Church Endowment Fund or to the American Cancer Society.

Bobby was born in Mystic, Iowa, on October 2, 1927 to Cora (McFall) Davis and Frank J. Davis. Drafted into the army in 1946, Mr. Davis served 18 months as an 82nd Airborne paratrooper. As a longtime member of AFL- CIO and Local 32, Mr. Davis worked over 40 years in the roofing industry. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division Association.
