Tahniah kepada semua pemenang STEM Forensik 2025
STEM Unisel is spearheaded by a group of lecturers in Universiti Selangor, which supporting national agenda in Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2025 to promote STEM Education. As the number of science stream students in the university is dwindling down, the group has taken initiatives to create awareness on the importance of STEM education while instigating the interest of younger generation in pursuing STEM field. STEM education emphasizes the integrated study of science passing the boundaries of traditionally labeled disciplines while demonstrating its application in real life.
Focusing on four main target groups: public, schools, teachers and policymakers, STEM Unisel is active in conducting workshops and seminars especially in Selangor. Apart from that, this group of lecturers is also venturing in research and innovation by developing various modules and kits including STEM Query, STEM@Home, STEM Forensic Kit and many more.
The achievements of this group include Gold and special awards for 7 years in a row since 2018 in the prestigious international innovation competition, Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE). Apart from that, STEM Unisel has been awarded with many other awards from various innovation competition including IIDEX (UiTM), CRI (UMK) and iRIA (UUM). The group has also successfully applied for 9 copyrights with MyIPO (and counting) as well as securing the total grants of approximately RM91,000 (as of 2020) by several funder including the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya (MBPJ).
Lead by Dr. Hazeeq Hazwan bin Azman as the coordinator, STEM Unisel is fronted by 12 lecturers from various faculties and centres in Unisel including the Centre for Foundation and General Studies (CFGS), Faculty of Engineering and Life Sciences (FELS), Faculty of Health Science (FSH), Faculty of Communication, Visual Arts and Computering (FCVAC) and Institute Bio-IT Selangor. The group is also driven by the students of Universiti Selangor. These students are known as Unisel STEM Squad and they are the pulse of STEM Unisel in order to ensure that STEM Unisel will be able to organized a lot of interesting STEM activities for the benefits of our target group.
